Angels deserve to die
Which ones?
The ones that made themselves as “gods” and “deceived mankind” to go ‘against the Most High’ Who created them all. These are the “fallen sons of God” who taught men evil things:
“that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.” (Genesis 6:2)
“The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:4 – 5)
Yes, the verses below state that “they will die like men” because of “their sins”:
“I said, “You are gods,
And all of you are sons of the Most High.
“Nevertheless you will die like men
And fall like any one of the princes.”
Arise, O God, judge the earth!
For it is You who possesses all the nations.” (Psalm 82:6 – 8)
Their Judgment will come accordingly:
“God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods.” (Psalm 82:1)
“For if God didn’t spare the angels who sinned but threw them down into Tartarus and delivered them to be kept in chains of darkness until judgment;” (2 Peter 2:4)
“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” (Jude 1:6)
Why?
Some of “their sins” are listed in verses below (‘which they failed to do as gods’- a dominion given to them):
“How long will you judge unjustly
And show partiality to the wicked?
Selah.
Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
Rescue the weak and needy;
Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.” (Psalm 82:2 – 4)
