Are we on God’s Side?

From Heaven’s Perspective

‘Are we on God’s side?’ is the ‘correct’ question rather than ‘is God on our side?’ [The infamous “if God be for us” (Romans 8:31) shows “God’s favour upon us” and ‘not’ an ‘absolute claim of any sort in that no matter what we do, He will favour us’ which is a ridiculous claim! In fact, it holds true if and only if ‘we remain on God’s side’ & at the other times, may He have Mercy!]

This is the “correct” meaning (in picture too) as the verses below mention a scenario where even Joshua was involved (it was “not” about ‘being on Israel or Joshua’s side’):

“Now it came about when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing opposite him with his sword drawn in his hand, and Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us or for our adversaries?”

He said, “Neither; rather I indeed come now as captain of the host of the LORD.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and bowed down, and said to him, “What has my lord to say to his servant?” (Joshua 5:13 – 14)
