Deceptions – god of this Age

Someone wrote a fallacious logic that the “god of this age” (Satan) has blinded everyone including Christians.

Fact is, the “god of this age” has blinded only “unbelievers” as 2 Corinthians 4:4 clearly states.

So, if we are “blinded” to the Truths of the Gospel, we share some “unbelief” in us which causes that and we don’t get to see the “light” of the “Gospel of the Glory of Christ” in a “fuller” state (2 Corinthians 4:3 – 6).

So, regarding that person’s claim that “Christians are Satanic” based on the verse (2 Corinthians 4:4, a weird non-matching claim), here’s Reply:

Being a Christian is just fine and not Satanic, here’s a Verse:

“but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.” (1 Peter 4:16, NASB)

We follow all verses in the New Testament including this one too (regarding “spiritual authority & leadership”; woman may be “secular leaders”, no Verse prohibits that e.g. CEO, Managers, bosses at work etc.)

“But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.” (1 Timothy 2:12, NASB)

We don’t change anything in the Name of context or culture for it were so possible, there’s no need for these New Testament verses to be written in the first place.

Is this really important?

Yes; It sheds light to the ‘common dilemma’ Christians face namely that, “Why can’t we understand the Gospel?”

It is due to some unbelief in us. What unbelief? Not believing all His Words especially those ones written in the New Testament. The more we believe the written Words of God in the Bible, the more we get to see the Light of His Gospel and our blindness reduces as it is written.

To “avoid unbelief”, we strive our best (though imperfect and failing at times but keeping to the fixed goal)  to “believe” and “obey” (“keep”) —-> “ALL New Testament verses” —> “not” changing it for any Man-made reason or culture (“sound doctrine”) —-> “as it is written” (only making sure of  the most literal or accurate translation first, where it matters so as to be not to be led by translation-errors).
