Deep Secrets from the Bible

“And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, while their hearts are far from Me, and their fear of Me is a commandment taught by men, therefore, behold, I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.” (Isaiah 29:13-14)

“and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish”

Of which type of people?

“Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor Me with their lips,” —> they’re nominal ‘believers’ professing His Name

“while their hearts are far from Me,” —> ‘lack of love’ & plenty of ‘wrong’ reasons & motives.

“and their fear of Me is a commandment taught by men” —> the highest probability for this FALSE ‘fear of God (Me)’ here is “eternal hell” (believed by the Pharisees) and “annihilation” (believed by the Sadducees).

Truth?
Universal Reconciliation in Christ alone where the proper fear of God is “not” to hurt Him but being careful to please Him by “not” sinning as much as possible while accepting “just punishment” according to the malice or evil done otherwise (‘not’ a purposeless punishment which lasts forever and ever):

(i) Punishment (beating) is according to the malice done (many or few, ‘not endless’ beating)

“The servant who knows the Master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the Master wants will be beaten with many blows.

But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows…” (Luke 12:47 – 48)

(ii) Both the one who “obeys & disobeys” and teaches others likewise will be in the ‘kingdom of Heaven” but the ‘difference’ is that “the obeying one will be great” while the other “least”:

“Whoever then breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens, but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:19)

Note that Christ did “NOT” say that those who break God’s commandments will ‘never’ enter His Kingdom. Read carefully.

(iii) It’s already been prophesied (by the verse below) that true believers will “suffer reproach” for standing up for His Truth of Universal Reconciliation (e.g. for “all men” below):

“For this we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” (1 Timothy 4:10)

The verse above implies so clearly that God will save “all men” (yes), but that “believers” are more ‘special’.

(iv) Here’s a verse describing the Universal Reconciliation beyond men, including everything (or “all things”) on earth or in the heavens by Christ Jesus our Blessed Lord & Glorious Saviour.

“and through Him (Lord Jesus Christ) to reconcile all things to Himself — having made peace through the blood of His Cross — through Him, whether the things upon the earth, whether the things in the heavens.” (Colossians 1:20)

Remember, only “His enemies” need “reconciliation”.

P/S:

Sadly, even those who ‘profess His Holy Name’ will be “unable to believe”:

“…I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder;…” (part of the initial verse quoted above)

And,

“Look at the nations and watch– and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” – LORD (Habakkuk 1:5)

The correct context of the Old Testament verse above is “His Gospel” (and “all” its fulfillments, especially apostle Paul’s writings) since it’s quoted to mean that in the New Testament verse below:

“Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish, for I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.” – apostle Paul in (Acts 13:41)

Let’s learn God’s secrets from those He has revealed it to:

“Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)

and,

“The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.” (Psalm 25:14)

Lastly, nothing can change this “One Purpose of God”:

“how that God was in Christ — a world reconciling to Himself, not reckoning to them their (the world’s) trespasses (sins); and having put in us the word of the reconciliation,” (2 Corinthians 5:19)
