Disagreement – Leaving
Disagreement – Leaving
Sometimes God allows sharp disagreement so that we part ways in two directions “for the
Gospel’s sake” which are both acceptable to Him as it happened between Paul & Barnabas:
“After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit the brethren in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.”
Barnabas wanted to take John, called Mark, along with them also.
But Paul kept insisting that they should not take him along who had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not gone with them to the work.
And there occurred such a sharp disagreement that they separated from one another, and Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus.” (Acts 15:36 – 39)
Sometimes one has to leave houses, father, mother, wife, brothers, children “for His Name sake” as it is written:
“and every one who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for My Name’s sake, an hundredfold shall receive, and life age-during shall inherit;” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 19:29)
