Family – Opposition

Some of us will face families which will be against us when we try to do something for the Gospel.

Why?
Chiefly because they will feel that the time and money should be spent on them instead (‘love of money’ —> to —> selfishness —-> which leads to ‘unlovingness outside’ the family bonds).

I remember a church leader who asked me whether God would lead me to a Truth which causes friction in a family.

I’ll let the Lord Himself answer in His own Words (read):

“for I came to set a man at variance against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, and the enemies of a man are those of his household.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 10:35 – 36)

Note the phrase “the enemies of a man are those of his household” in the verse above.
