Favoritism? Favouritism?
God is Impartial
“For God does NOT show favoritism.” (Romans 2:11)
A “reward” for a believer during His reign in the Kingdom of God is due to the “faith & works” (merit) which a ‘believer’ has done “in Him” (it’s NOT a ‘preferential treatment’ or a ‘hak istimewa’ but ‘reaping what ‘you’ve sowed’ accordingly).
That’s all.
There is “no” partiality with God and neither can we ‘practice favouritism’ as commanded here:
“But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.” (James 2:9)
Yup, the verse above also clearly “prohibits” any type of ‘favoritism’ even toward ‘fellow Christians’ by us.
I often wonder, ‘Which Bible do these guys read?’ (those who teach otherwise)
Remember, there’s “no” favoritism even in “punishment” as it’s written:
“Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.” (Colossians 3:25)
Yup:
“My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with (an attitude of personal) favoritism.” (James 2:1)
P/S:
I repeat,
“Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism” (Acts 10:34)
“Is He (God) not the One who says to kings, ‘You are worthless,’
and to nobles, ‘You are wicked,’” (Job 34:18) and the subsequent verse continues,
“Who (God) shows no partiality to princes Nor regards the rich above the poor, For they all are the work of His hands?” (Job 34:19)
