Friend of His Enemies — Best Friend = Lord Jesus Christ
Why?
1) He is the True Friend that LOVES at ALL TIMES
“A friend loves at all times..’ (Proverbs 17:17, NASB)
His “HATE” is NOT absent from His Love as it is Righteous and cannot be compared to ‘human hate’ as James 1:20 clearly mentions.
2) His Love as a Friend is the Greatest as He laid Down His Life at the Cross for the Whole World
“Greater Love has no one than this, that one lay down His life for His friends.” (John 15:13, NASB)
3) His LOVE as a Friend applies even to His ENEMIES
Judas is allegorically SATAN (Luke 22:3) to whom Christ’s LAST WORD is FRIEND (Matthew 26:50) meaning that ‘Satan can be converted to Friend’ by CHRIST ALONE and that His Ransom (in John 15:13) as laying down HIS LIFE for HIS FRIENDS also INCLUDES Judas (Satan) too when Scripture here is Viewed Allegorically revealing this Possible Mystery (because Judas or Satan-allegorically is called as ‘friend’ in John 15:13 as the ‘last word’ toward him). Can you see How Great our God really is?
Truly, NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE with God even in Converting Satan (Judas) as His Friend via His Work at His Cross as Colossians 1:16 (defines ‘all created things’ including Satan) which will be RECONCILED back to HIM (as mentioned Prophetically in Colossians 1:20) Irrefutably as it is Written.
Truly God LOVES His ENEMIES (the ‘Perfect’ – Matthew 5:44) and WILL CANCEL the ‘HATE your enemy – part’ eventually (the ‘partial’ which will be DONE AWAY eventually – Matthew 5:43) agreeing to the Prophetic Verse below where LOVE [Agape] can make all other things (e.g. Judgment, Hate, etc.) to be DONE AWAY with eventually:
“LOVE never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be DONE AWAY; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be DONE AWAY. For we know in part and we prophesy in PART; but when the PERFECT comes, the PARTIAL will be DONE AWAY.” (1 Corinthians 13:8 – 10, NASB)
What is PERFECTION?
AGAPE = LOVE of God:
“And above all these things put on LOVE, which is the bond of PERFECTION.” (Colossians 3:14, KJV-2000)
That’s why the GREATEST is LOVE [Agape]:
“But now faith, hope, LOVE, abide these three; but the GREATEST of these is LOVE.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NASB)
‘With AGAPE, God does that which was IMPOSSIBLE with anyone else’ – Unknown
Conclusion
Such Mature Doctrine is ‘not’ for Babies as Scripture Does Hold Deep Prophetic Truth when viewed Allegorically as well:
“But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.” (Hebrews 5:14, NASB)
Why?
Because that’s the PERFECTION of GOD [Love of God here = Agape]:
“Therefore you are to be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is Perfect.” (Matthew 5:48, NASB)
Other Verses quoted here:
“And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve.” (Luke 22:3, NASB)
“And Jesus said to him [Judas-Satan], “Friend, do what you have come for.” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and seized Him.” (Matthew 26:50, NASB)
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.” (Matthew 5:43, BLB)
“But I say to you, Love your enemies …” (Matthew 5:44, NASB)
“because in Him were created all things in the heavens and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or lordships or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and unto Him. and by Him to Reconcile all things to Himself, having made Peace by the Blood of His Cross through Him, whether the things on the earth or the things in the heavens.” (Colossians 1:16, 20, BLB)
P/S:
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:17, BSB)
“We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.” (1 John 4:14, NASB)
‘God does NOT Fail’ – Anonymous
Truly,
“He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did NOT KNOW Him.” (John 1:10, NASB)
Please also note that the Greek Word for “friend” in John 15:13 is STRONGER (“philōn”) while the Greek Word for “friend” in Matthew 26:50 is WEAKER (“Hetaire”) —> because in John 15:13, Christ uses the Word GREATER (“meizona”) indicating a GREATER LOVE (phrase “no greater Love”) toward the CLOSER FRIENDS (“philōn”) —> implying that a LESSER DEGREE of LOVE toward the ‘other friends’ (who were once His enemies too such as Satan or Judas, hence the WEAKER Word “Hetaire”) meaning FRIEND ALSO.
The Fact that God LOVES some more than the others is evidenced say in John 13:23 or John 21:7 or John 21:20 and that others may ‘love God back more or less’ (likewise too) is evidenced in Verses such as Luke 7:47 or Luke 14:26 or Matthew 10:37 too proving this claim Biblically as well.
