Greater Love?

His “Friends”

P/S:

A logic to that?

To “die for a loved one or family member” is “great” but it’s still towards someone in whom we have “self” (either a “spouse” being physically as ‘one flesh’ or a family member since some “blood” of ours match).

Hence, to do it for a “friend” (with whom we have no “self” in the “flesh or blood”) is “greater” for that same reason.

Remember, the “lesser self” in an act, the “more selfless” & “greater” it becomes.

Hence, Christ’s Work is the “Greatest” since He did “not” just “Die” to Save “us” (His Friends) but also “the whole World” (including His enemies too) as it is written:

“and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.” (1 John 2:2)

So, He didn’t just teach us but did the Greatest Act of Love too.

“Blessed Saviour of the World”
