Hell - Can a Christian believe that Hell is not eternal or misinterpret Hell and Death in Isaiah 28 - and go to Hell?

The ANSWER is in the FACE of CHRIST. To quote an encounter of such:

Are all these really important? Why not we focus on the other more important Christian ministries instead of this WORD and DOCTRINE part? What is your intention?

‘Let Scripture interpret Scripture’ – Clement of Alexandria (150 – 215)

I am well aware that it is common for your theologians to claim that Clement of Alexandria who taught Universal Reconciliation & is a MAJOR authority in GREEK and DOCTRINE (for example, as per the quote below) —> who is highly regarded by the ‘father of Church history himself’ (Bishop Eusebius of Caesarea) infamous his Book, Ecclesiastical History as he mentions to have been deposited the ‘ancestral apostolic seeds’ —> who is unfairly said to be a ‘heretic’ by ‘your modern theologians’ (can you see it?).

Here are two of Clement of Alexandria’s Superb Quote:

“So He saves all; but some He converts by penalties, others who follow Him of their own will, and in accordance with the worthiness of His honor, that every knee may be bent to Him of celestial, terrestrial and infernal things (Phil. 2:10), that is angels, men, and souls who before His advent migrated from this mortal life.”

“For there are partial corrections (padeiai) which are called chastisements (kolasis), which many of us who have been in transgression incur by falling away from the Lord’s people. But as children are chastised by their teacher, or their father, so are we by Providence. But God does not punish (timoria) for punishment (timoria) is retaliation for evil. He chastises, however, for good to those who are chastised collectively and individually.” (Strom, VII, ii; Pedag. I, 8; on I John ii, 2)

Note that Clement mentions that the “all” our Blessed Lord Saves includes “angels, men, souls” some without punishment (voluntarily) while others through punishments.

So, are our modern church historians better in determining who is the authority in doctrine vs who is the heretic than the truth contained in Eusebius’ writing itself?

Isn’t such a claim baseless since Eusebius is titled the ‘father of church history’ and is an authority in doctrine being the Bishop of Caesarea and certainly must KNOW who the authorities in doctrine are living closer to that time itself?

Next, please consider the points below:

0) The Safe Route

Most Christians do NOT want to even ‘think’ about this topic simply because they have the ‘safe route mentality’ (which basically centers around the human instinct of ‘every man for himself’) where in opting to ‘think as such’, they rather just follow the majority to be ‘safe’.

Why is this so?

(i) It’s too Risky

They dare not to take a risk and believe that Hell is NOT eternal in fear that ‘if they are wrong’ —> they may be tossed into that eternal Hell itself which brings us naturally to the next point below.

(ii) The Risk has no benefit for me

Why should I take the risk and believe that Christ can SAVE from HELL?

‘Let’s be smart because if Hell is eternal, then we could be tossed into it for teaching against it; you want to take that unnecessary risk for that sinner who deserve Hell?’ [a common human response]

Strangely, this understandable ‘human thought’ of ‘being on the safe’ route or ‘choose what is most beneficial to you’ (or be ‘smart’ and avoid unnecessary risks) is EXACTLY AGAINST what CHRIST DID in HIS LIFE and TAUGHT in the GOSPELS and was demonstrated by His apostles too agreeing to the VERSE below as well:

“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:25, NASB)

Can you see it?

How can the mindset of being safe which sounds like someone who believes in eternal Hell with the intention to ‘to save his life’ be the same person who ‘loses his life for My sake’ as mentioned in Verse above?

The popular claim that one who ‘loses his life for My sake’ refers to them being a missionary is true (and is inclusive of that as well). But when faced with the possibility that Hell may not be eternal, I have heard remarks from top Christian denomination leaders who say that ‘if so, then they have no motivation to be a missionary anymore’.

In other words, they seem keen to be an evangelist for Christ ONLY if ‘Hell is eternal’ (right?) which directly CONTRADICTS the VERSE in 1 Timothy 4:10 where God is Declared to be the Saviour of ALL men (but believers being more special is highlighted) and apostle Paul directs the EVANGELIST Timothy to COMMAND and TEACH these things in the next consecutive verse (immediate first context) in 1 Timothy 4:11 itself even mentioning that this is a Faithful Saying which is Worthy of All acceptation in 1 Timothy 4:9 prior.

That is why apostle Paul mentions that we should give “thanks” to God on behalf of “ALL MEN” (in 1 Timothy 2:1) in light of the FACT that God WILL HAVE ALL MEN to be SAVED (as mentioned a few verses later in 1 Timothy 2:4 – KJV). The ALL MEN is ALL MEN in both of these verses or in 1 Timothy 4:10 too where each is a FACTUAL STATEMENT or is a COMMAND (1 Timothy 4:9, 11) and is NOT a ‘figure of speech of any sort’ as apostle Paul is NOT speaking any ‘parables here’. This is the True Prayer Ministry as it is mentioned in 1 Timothy 2:1. Can you see it?

Yes, apostle Paul basically mentions that God “will have all men to be saved” (1 Timothy 2:4 – KJV) to evangelist Timothy and neither him nor Timothy lost any zeal for preaching the Gospel due to this. In fact, it for this preaching that he claims to be ordained as an “apostle” and “speaker of Truth to the Gentiles” in 1 Timothy 2:7 a verse later after mentioning that Christ is a RANSOM for ALL (in 1 Timothy 2:6, and ‘not believers only’) which is just a few verses later after mentioning that God Will have ALL MEN to be SAVED (in 1 Timothy 2:4 – KJV first ) agreeing to the literal first-context of consecutive verses PERFECTLY.

Isn’t it obvious based of what is ACTUALLY WRITTEN?

(iii) What’s in it for me?

What’s the benefit for me in believing that God can Save from Hell?

Knowing that men are weak, God gave the following benefit which is one can obtain ‘righteousness’ without any other Christian WORK by believing that God JUSTIFIES the UNGODLY (or “wicked”) according to Scripture:

“But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,” (Romans 4:5, NASB)

God knows that we ‘won’t bother about the wicked or anyone else’ unless ‘we have some blessing or an afterlife benefit or both with regards to His Work’.

Do you know that HE is the ONLY ONE Who gains NOTHING but Gives Away ALL FREELY by His Act (Romans 8:32, Matthew 10:8) as even Allegorically Implied in Verse below PROPHESYING this regarding CHRIST (Luke 24:44 – 45)?

“I have aroused Him in Righteousness And I will make all His ways Smooth; He will build My city and will let My exiles go free, WITHOUT any Payment or Reward,” says the LORD of hosts..” (Isaiah 45:13, NASB)

Let’s Begin:

1) Can you go to HELL by believing that CHRIST CAN SAVE from HELL?

NO Verse DIRECTLY says this. The common way of saying that LIARS will be tossed into the Lake of Fire (which is True) is too general for ‘every man is a liar too in some way for we all err in some way’ (in the context of Theology itself as Romans 3:4 explicitly reveals). So, it only depends on God which liars He Wishes to have Mercy first (Romans 9:15 – 16) and the rest of the ALL later Post-Judgment (Romans 11:30 – 32).

With regards to response from an ‘authority in doctrine in eternal Hell itself’ regarding this question, please consider the popular quote below by a champion theologian from the eternal Hell camp itself as follows:

“… some, indeed very many … say they do not believe it [eternal torment] shall be so; not, indeed, that they directly oppose themselves to Holy Scripture.” (Augustine, “The Enchiridion,” ch. 112, p. 273)

Please note carefully that even Augustine of Hippo himself does NOT DARE claim that the VERY MANY (a majority at that time in his location too – can you see it?) who do NOT believe in ENDLESS TORMENTS are heretics.

Augustine and other theologians are very quick to condemn those who oppose them to an ‘eternal hell’ but yet in regards to these MANY Christians who do NOT believe in eternal Hell, he dared NOT say that they are heretics —> and in fact says that these do “NOT” —-> “directly oppose themselves to Holy Scripture” —> which means that even in his eyes, they must be CHRISTIAN and SAVED too.

In modern times, even a popular theological champion from the eternal hell camp, Matt Slick (from CARM) himself does NOT necessarily say that Christians who deny the existence of an eternal hell to be condemned if the other parts of doctrine are ‘right’ (in accordance to his view) as it may be read in link below too:

2) The Dilemma

The problem in exegesis is that many Christians just believe what ‘your Bible scholars claim’ (sadly) regarding the meaning of a verse without questioning it and checking it with other SCRIPTURE ONLY as this ATTITUDE is highly regarded as being NOBLE MINDED as it was the TRAIT of the TRUE BEREANS with the BIBLICALLY COMMENDED INTENTION of CHECKING if “whether those things were so” as it is mentioned in Verse below:

“These were MORE NOBLE than those in Thessalonica, in that they RECEIVED the WORD with all readiness of MIND, and SEARCHED the SCRIPTURES DAILY, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11, KJV)

3) Verses in Concern

“Wherefore HEAR the WORD of the LORD, ye SCORNFUL men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

Because YE have SAID, We have made a COVENANT with DEATH, and with HELL are we at AGREEMENT; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall NOT come unto us: for we have made LIES our refuge, and under FALSEHOOD have we hid ourselves:

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in ZION for a Foundation a Stone, a Tried Stone, a Precious Corner Stone, a Sure Foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

JUDGMENT also will I lay to the line, and RIGHTEOUSNESS to the plummet: and the hail SHALL SWEEP AWAY the refuge of LIES, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

And your COVENANT with DEATH shall be DISANNULLED, and your AGREEMENT with HELL shall NOT stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

From the TIME that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by DAY and by NIGHT: and it shall be a VEXATION only to UNDERSTAND the REPORT.

For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

For the LORD shall Rise Up as in Mount Perazim, He shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that He may do His Work, His Strange Work; and BRING TO PASS His Act, His Strange Act.

Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your BANDS be made STRONG: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the WHOLE EARTH.

Give ye ear, and hear My Voice; hearken, and hear My Speech.” (Isaiah 28:14 – 23, KJV)

Please note that these VERSES are from Isaiah 28 only (context).

4) What do the Eternal Hell Theologians Claim regarding the meaning of these Verses?

‘Do you even know what your denomination or authority in doctrine teaches in regards to these verses? If you don’t know, why do you believe them blindly?’

Let’s Begin:

(i) Isaiah 28:15

“Because YE have SAID, We have made a COVENANT with DEATH, and with HELL are we at AGREEMENT; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall NOT come unto us: for we have made LIES our refuge, and under FALSEHOOD have we hid ourselves:” (Isaiah 28:15, KJV)

Your scholars mostly claim the following points regarding this verse in Isaiah 28:15 (you may check up their ‘official commentaries too’ to see this):

Some scholars say that ‘We have made a covenant with death’ is proverbial based on Job 5:23 & Hosea 2:18 and so analogously it implies that these evil ones in Jerusalem have made a peace pact with Death and Hell so that it does not harm them despite they being evil.

Reply:

Please note that Job 5:23 speaks of a ‘covenant with the stones of the field, and the wild animals will be at peace with you’ (BSB) —> where it refers to a Time of Restoration where God Heals (Job 5:18) those He Reproved (Job 5:17) keeping him alive during famine too (Job 5:20) and even being safe from the threat of wild animals (Job 5:23) which is directed toward the righteous primarily (Job 5:17, 19).

Similarly, Hosea 2:18 mentions a ‘In that day I will also make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds of the sky and the creeping things of the ground.’ (NASB) —> so that He ‘will make them lie down in safety’ (NASB)

Firstly, the phrase ‘Covenant with Death’ does NOT occur in either of the verses quoted and also the phrases ‘covenant with the stones of the field’ (Job 5:23, BSB) and ‘covenant for them with the beasts of the field’ (Hosea 2:18, NASB) —-> speak of a ‘happy ending’ —> toward ‘the righteous primarily’ and thus CANNOT be referring to a Covenant DEATH which sounds GLOOMY and BAD as it is Written in Isaiah 28:15.

The ‘Covenant with Death’ (in Isaiah 28:15) is made by the ‘scornful’ men in Jerusalem (Isaiah 28:14) in the first context of Judgment and Punishment of Ephraim (Isaiah 28:1 – 3, who is NOT mentioned in Job 5, nor in Hosea 2).

So, the phrase ‘Covenant with DEATH’ is a Proverbial Statement in a GLOOMY & BAD sense and ‘not that they have escaped Hell & Death by making a Covenant with those’ as your theologians claim. How can one make a peace deal with DEATH and HADES? Where is the verse which proves that this is possible?

The ‘happy’ Covenant made with the ‘stones’ and the ‘beasts’ of the field in Job 5:23 and Hosea 2:18 respectively has nothing to do with the Covenant made with DEATH and HELL unless you claim that Death is stones and beasts is Hell or equivalent? Is that how you interpret Scripture?

I believe that Hell (Hades, Sheol) is a real place and Death is Real too as both are mentioned in Revelation 6:8 and the Covenant with DEATH and HELL (Isaiah 28:15) means that they ‘are in TROUBLE’ being BOUND to both DEATH and HADES as even Revelation 6:8 reveals.

(ii) Isaiah 28:16

We both agree that the CornerStone in ZION, the spiritual Dwelling of God (Isaiah 28:16) refers to Lord Jesus Christ only (Ephesians 2:20) and that means that this Verse is PROPHETIC from this point on toward the FUTURE after Christ is REVEALED. Bravo!

(iii) Isaiah 28:17 – 20

“JUDGMENT also will I lay to the line, and RIGHTEOUSNESS to the plummet: and the hail SHALL SWEEP AWAY the refuge of LIES, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

The eternal Hell theologians popularly claim that Isaiah 28:17 refers to a ‘refuge which these evil-ones get from Egypt’ and that the ‘Assyrians are the overflowing scourge’ mentioned in Isaiah 28:18 which refers to the punishment of God upon them as referred to in Isaiah 28:19 – 20 too.

Let’s see each claim in detail as follows:

What is meant by the ‘overflowing scourge’ (in Isaiah 28:15 and Isaiah 28:18)?

The claim by the eternal Hell scholars is that it refers to the armies of Egypt and/or Assyria to bring destruction upon Judah (quoting Isaiah 8:5 – 8 with Isaiah 27:12 – 13, Isaiah 10:20 – 25 and Isaiah 28:2).

REPLY:

Do you know that the ‘Overflowing Scourge’ (mentioned in both Isaiah 28:15 and Isaiah 28:17) does NOT refer to a man-made thing/army (and hence NOT Assyria/Egypt) but rather it is WRITTEN to be from the LORD HIMSELF by His HAND (as it is mentioned first in this Chapter in Isaiah 28:2 itself descriptively) where it refers to a “flame of devouring fire” (Isaiah 29:6, KJV) which is the LAKE OF FIRE (Revelation 19:20).

The “overflowing scourge” (Isaiah 28:15, 17) must refer to the “Lake of Fire” (Revelation 19:20) simply because it is mentioned to be from the HAND of GOD Himself in Isaiah 28:2 first as it is described to be “a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing” (Isaiah 28:2, KJV) which describes its property as WATER for DESTROYING but at the same time it is mentioned again in Isaiah 29:6 as “the flame of devouring fire” (Isaiah 29:6, KJV) which shows it to have the properties of FIRE too. So, only the LAKE of FIRE is DESTRUCTIVE and is from the HAND of GOD directly and has both the Properties of WATER and FIRE too right? Yes.

We both agree that the TIME (in THAT DAY) when Isaiah 28:17 – 20 happens the LORD would have Descended Upon the Mount of Olives itself to SAVE ISRAEL literally (Acts 1:11):

“In THAT DAY His Feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.” (Zechariah 14:4, NASB)

Verses contain Truth ‘line by line’ and if we get the ‘wrong order’ we may end up with an off-interpretation as per the principle in verse below too from Isaiah 28 itself:

“Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” (Isaiah 28:9 – 10, KJV)

“And in THAT DAY shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.” (Isaiah 29:18, KJV)

“They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine” (Isaiah 29:14, KJV)

Your exegesis is not completely wrong but rather is misplaced in accordance to the ‘order of events’ or TIME, it’s quoted in the WRONG ORDER of TIME which is supposed to be as follows (please read it in this order specified and you will SEE it too – please note that some events may overlap into other time & I tried my best to keep it in order at least GENERALLY):

(i) The Nations of the Earth will rise to destroy Israel first (Isaiah 8:5 – 8).

(ii) It will seem like there is NO hope left for Israel as they will be ‘losing first’ (Zechariah 14:2, Isaiah 27:10 – 11).

(iii) LORD JESUS CHRIST Descends Upon the World and the Heavens are Opened (Revelation 19:11 – 16)

(iv) Lord Jesus Christ Descends till His Feet Touches the Mount of Olives itself (Acts 1:11, Zechariah 14:4 – 6).

(v) The NATIONS rise to fight both Israel and Christ due to being deceived by SATAN (Revelation 19:17 – 19)

(vi) Israel will rise to fight back with a ‘remnant’ after seeing this Glorious Tide of War turning on their side (Zechariah 12:6 – 9) with Judah too (Zechariah 14:14). Yes a ‘remnant’ (Isaiah 10:20 – 25).

(vii) There will be a Great Mourning of Repentance in Israel too for rejecting Lord Jesus Christ earlier during this time period (Zechariah 12:10 – 14)

(viii) The remnant of Israel at that time will accept Lord Jesus Christ (Zechariah 13:9, Isaiah 27:9) where the rest will be destroyed prior (Zechariah 13:8, Zechariah 13:1 – 6) when they will remember Who He is and how wrongly they spoke of Him earlier, remembering His Manifestation of the Earth Prior (Zechariah 13:7).

These will RETURN back to Israel though they suffered or were outcasts to Egypt and Assyria earlier (Isaiah 27:12 – 13).

(ix) Lord Jesus Christ FIGHTS against ALL NATIONS which has risen to destroy Israel (Zechariah 14:3 – 13, Revelation 19:21) and will WIN (Revelation 17:14).

(x) God Immediately Judges the Beast and then False prophet was cast into the “Lake of Fire” (Revelation 19:20).

(xi) Satan or the Dragon, the Serpent will be Bound for a Thousand years (Revelation 20:1 – 3).

(xii) The First Resurrection takes Place for the Chosen Ones in Christ (Revelation 20:4 – 6) where they Rule over the remaining nations too (Zechariah 14:16 – 21).

(xiii) Satan is Released will deceive the Nations one last time (‘probably claiming that he could escape’ –> to imply that ‘he is stronger or some LIE equivalent to that’) —> and some nations will rise to attack the Holy City but these will be Consumed by the Fire of God from Heaven (Revelation 20:7 – 10, Joel 3:9 – 11).

(xiv) Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:10) being Slain (Isaiah 27:1).

(xv) God Will Arise to Judge the Whole Earth and the rest of the DEAD as well which are still left to be in Covenant with HADES and DEATH too (Revelation 20:11 – 13, Joel 3:12 – 17).

(xv) God Will Judge Israel too where Israel will be punished as well (Jeremiah 30:11).

*Now, this PARTICULAR JUDGMENT of ISRAEL for the Tribe of EPHRAIM Part (is highlighted in Scripture – probably due to their ‘increased transgression as opposed to the other tribes of Israel’):

(a) EPHRAIM of Israel is particularly described to be Judged (Isaiah 28:1, 3) by the LORD.

(b) In THAT DAY (Isaiah 28:5) the LORD is already a Crown of Beauty for the REMNANT of His People in Judgment as Jerusalem’s Gates are Defended too (Isaiah 28:6).

(c) Now, The LORD is Ready to Judge EPHRAIM with the “overflowing scourge” (Isaiah 28:15) from His Hand (Isaiah 28:2) which has the property of WATER as “a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing,” (Isaiah 28:2, KJV) and also has the property of FIRE as “the flame of devouring fire” (Isaiah 29:6, KJV) which refers to this SAME POWER from HIS HAND and HIM Directly in these Verses linking these together —> to mean the LAKE of FIRE which has BOTH the property of WATER (Isaiah 28:2) and FIRE (Isaiah 29:6) as described prior for Destruction (Revelation 20:14 – 15).

(d) Ephraim which is bound by Covenant to DEATH and HADES (Isaiah 28:15) as some from this tribe are bound in there prior (Revelation 6:8) exclaim that the “overflowing scourge” (or the Lake of Fire) would NOT reach them.

(e) God Answers that Ephraim’s Covenant with DEATH shall be DISANNULLED and Ephraim’s Agreement with HELL (Hades/Sheol) shall NOT Stand in Isaiah 28:18.

(f) How is this going to happen?

God Judges first the contents of HADES and DEATH (Revelation 20:13) which includes these ones from EPHRAIM too being bound to DEATH and HADES prior too (Isaiah 28:15, Revelation 6:8).

God Throws HELL (Hades/Sheol) and DEATH into the Lake of Fire (or the “overflowing scourge”) first (Revelation 20:14).

Next, the content which are Bound by Covenant/Agreement to DEATH/HELL respectively are also cast into the LAKE of FIRE whose names are NOT Written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 20:15) which includes EPHRAIM as well and the “Overflowing Scourge” (of the LAKE of FIRE) reaches them as well (as mentioned in Isaiah 28:18 – literally).

During this TIME of JUDGMENT (Isaiah 28:17) the LIES shall be swept away too —> as their Covenant with DEATH and Agreement with HELL (Hades/Sheol) gets DISANNULLED & NOT Stand (Isaiah 28:18) —> during this TIME Period of the DAY and NIGHT (Isaiah 28:19) together with others too in this LAKE of FIRE (Revelation 14:10 – 11) in which they are tormented together in the ‘overflowing scourge’ (Isaiah 28:18) —> till they UNDERSTAND the REPORT or the GOSPEL (Isaiah 28:19) as the GOSPEL will be PREACHED to the DEAD too (1 Peter 4:6) —> to ensure that ALL Men come to the KNOWLEDGE of the TRUTH too (1 Timothy 2:4 – KJV) —-> whilst they are being JUDGED (Isaiah 28:20) in the WRATH of the LORD (Isaiah 28:21) —> Till JUDGMENT gives forth to VICTORY in that “A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench” (Matthew 12:20, KJV, Isaiah 42:3 too) —> and the LORD does His Strange Act in His Wrath (Isaiah 28:21, Zephaniah 3:8) which is to SAVE (because to SAVE in His WRATH is Strange Indeed, Zephaniah 3:9, Hosea 13:14) —-> as it is WRITTEN in Hosea 13:14 for EPHRAIM/Israel (implied) and Zephaniah 3:8 – 9 for the rest of the NATIONS too. Can you see it?

Verses:

“Therefore wait for Me,” declares the LORD,

“For the day when I rise up as a witness.

Indeed, My decision is to gather nations,

To assemble kingdoms,

To pour out on them My indignation,

All My burning anger;

For all the earth will be devoured

By the fire of My zeal.

“For then I will give to the peoples purified lips,

That all of them may call on the name of the LORD,

To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.” (Zephaniah 3:8 – 9, NASB)

“From the hand of SHEOL I do RANSOM them, From DEATH I REDEEM them, Where is thy plague, O Death? Where thy destruction, O Sheol? Repentance is hid from Mine eyes.” (Hosea 13:14, YLT)

That is how ‘all Israel will be SAVED’ (Romans 11:26) as per the Mystery/Secret too (Romans 11:25) from their SINS as WELL (Romans 11:27) and a Similar Process is Echoed for the WHOLE EARTH as well (in Isaiah 28:22) —> in regards to this SAME TOPIC as His Strange Work in WRATH too (Isaiah 28:21) upon EPHRAIM (Isaiah 28:18) and the REST OF MEN too (Zephaniah 3:8) when His WRATH in the LAKE of FIRE (as the “overflowing scourge”, Isaiah 28:18 or “All My Burning anger” in Zephaniah 3:8 means) —> through CHRIST the CornerStone (Isaiah 28:16) to Bring Forth a JUDGMENT which SWEEPS AWAY the LIES as well (Isaiah 28:17) till they UNDERSTAND the REPORT (Isaiah 28:19) or GOSPEL which is PREACHED to the DEAD too (1 Peter 4:6) during Judgment as well (1 Peter 4:5) —> yes, until VICTORY is achieved where these ones which are damaged by the destruction of the LAKE of FIRE as evidenced by the phrase “smoking flax shall he not quench” (Matthew 12:20, KJV) —> where HE SAVES them in the END as He Does it to Ephraim first by RANSOMING and REDEEMING them from DEATH & HELL/Hades/Sheol Respectively from this LAKE of FIRE as Hosea 13:14 Declares Majestically —> which must be the SAME PROCESS for the WHOLE EARTH too (as echoed in Isaiah 28:22) —> whose END Result is SIMILAR as the STRANGE Work of His WRATH Causes the ones upon whom “ALL His Burning ANGER” is inflicted (Zephaniah 3:8, NASB) to be SAVED as evidenced by the phrases “That all of them may call on the name of the LORD” and “To serve Him shoulder to shoulder” as it is Written in Zephaniah 3:9, NASB itself –> agreeing to His Word that He WILL HAVE ALL MEN to be SAVED in the End (1 Timothy 2:4 – KJV, 1 Timothy 4:10) —> Skipping the Judgment part, apostle Paul Declares this SAME END for ALL MEN beyond EPHRAIM only when he Quotes this VICTORY in CHRIST in 1 Corinthians 15:55. Can we REALLY see it now?

Please also note that the fact that the “overflowing scourge” only reaches Ephraim later (in Isaiah 28:18) itself proves that this DISANULLING and CANCELLING of both DEATH and HELL is Done in the LAKE of FIRE. Earlier, when these ones were bound to DEATH and HADES (Revelation 6:8) in the afterlife (Isaiah 28:15), the “overflowing scourge” could NOT reach them meaning that the LAKE of FIRE hasn’t touched HADES and DEATH yet as it will later as Prophesied in Revelation 20:14 too. This Overflowing Scourge in the Lake of FIRE is the Last Part of Judgment which acts also as a FIRE of CLEANSING (Malachi 3:2) which sweeps away the lies as well (Isaiah 28:17) till the UNDERSTAND the GOSPEL or REPORT (Isaiah 28:19). The STRANGE Work (Isaiah 28:21) is that God SAVES even in HIS WRATH as HE REDEEMS from DEATH and RANSOMS from HELL/Hades/Sheol as Hosea 13:14 mentions with regards to this SAME TOPIC of the Resurrection of the Dead (1 Corinthians 15:21) toward ALL being MADE ALIVE in Christ eventually (Isaiah 28:16, 1 Corinthians 15:22) as a HOPE for the WICKED too (Acts 24:15) till ALL MEN are SAVED (1 Timothy 2:4 – KJV, 1 Timothy 4:10, John 12:32) by via “ALL His BURNING ANGER” in His WRATH too (Zephaniah 3:8) as then these (all upon whom His Wrath is Poured upon) end up “calling on His Name” and “serving Him shoulder to shoulder” in the END as it is Written in Zephaniah 3:9 as well Perfectly.

4) ALL Men – Which is the True Meaning as it is WRITTEN?

Now, who taught you that ALL MEN mentioned in these Verses does not mean all men? Is it your Greek professor quoting some ‘man-made colloquial speech’ (even found in the Bible to be recorded as SPOKEN by MAN and NOT God, where the truth is recorded as they spoke only with regards to other men (different context), and the Bible is NOT affirming their speech) —> as opposed to INSPIRED Verses which refer to God’s Truth such as these —> can you see the DIFFERENCE?

Are you claiming that God Speaks colloquially too like men? Don’t you have the fear of God by claiming so? I take it as it is WRITTEN by apostle Paul that ALL MEN means ALL MEN in these FACTUAL Statements and you may continue to believe say John Calvin who ‘claims’ (with NO Verse) that it refers to ‘all types of people’ for which, you and I know that it’s not the topic nor the context here (please explain how from these verses if you claim otherwise) even plainly CONTRADICTING the Verses below which also agrees with this TRUTH regarding ALL MEN, to quote:

“So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to ALL MEN, even so through One Act of Righteousness there Resulted Justification of LIFE to ALL MEN.” (Romans 5:18, NASB)

“For as through the one man’s disobedience THE MANY were made SINNERS, even so through the Obedience of the One THE MANY will be made RIGHTEOUS.” (Romans 5:19, NASB)

The SAME ALL MEN mentioned to be condemned is the SAME ALL MEN mentioned to be eventually Justified to LIFE in Romans 5:18 without any ‘strange manipulations or explanations’.

Similarly, the SAME THE MANY which were made SINNERS is the SAME THE MANY mentioned to be MADE RIGHTEOUS eventually in Romans 5:19 agreeing to all these. The MANY is mentioned here in this verse since ALL MEN were made SINNERS through ADAM (where ADAM + THE MANY = ALL MEN who were made SINNERS). Can you see this simple equation?

In fact, ALL MEN condemned is mentioned in Romans 5:18 because it includes ADAM + the REST of MANKIND (the MANY). Lord Jesus Christ is OUT OF THIS EQUATION simply because HE did NOT SIN and is NOT condemned by ADAM’s sin but rather He is mentioned DISTINCTLY as the ONE through WHOM this JUSTIFICATION of LIFE and being MADE RIGHTEOUS will Happen toward ALL MEN (that is, ADAM + the MANY, where THE MANY = the REST of MANKIND excluding ADAM).

In Greek it is ‘the many’ and ‘not many’ which is mentioned in Romans 5:19 meaning that a particular ‘the many’ is referred to here namely that ‘the many’ that were made ‘sinners through Adam’ which is ‘the rest of mankind excluding Adam’, that is:

THE MANY (in Romans 5:19) = ‘the rest of mankind excluding Adam only’

ADAM is singled out since he is the CAUSE of the FALL from whom the CONDEMNATION and SIN is passed on. THE MANY is separately mentioned as part of the ALL MEN as the rest of MANKIND gets imputed with this sin/condemnation automatically as is the JUSTIFICATION of LIFE and the being MADE RIGHTEOUS in CHRIST is also PROMISED to be AUTOMATIC eventually when His Ransom applies in its OWN TIMES being a Testimony (or comes to pass, as 1 Timothy 2:6 reveals).

If eternal hell was the motivation factor for preaching the Gospel as an evangelist, why didn’t apostle Paul mention it at all in his letters to Timothy (and where is the verse saying this for who claim otherwise)?

Apostle Paul mentions that we should be careful of false teachings by demons (in 1 Timothy 4:1) and lists the Truth that God is the Saviour of all men (1 Timothy 4:10) which is to be understood that He Will Save all men (1 Timothy 2:4 – KJV) to evangelist Timothy to COMMAND and TEACH these things in 1 Timothy 4:11, right?

Isn’t it strange that 1 Timothy 4:1 is quoted by your theologians to warn that ‘Christ saving from Hell is doctrine of demons’ and that ‘Hell is eternal’ is a correct teaching which apostle Paul did NOT do?

In other words, when your eternal hell theologian claims that 1 Timothy 4:1 refers to false teachings such as ‘Christ Saving from Hell’, where is the verse in 1 Timothy itself which mentions eternal Hell to substantiate this claim?

In Fact, apostle Paul did the EXACT OPPOSITE namely that he quoted the warning in 1 Timothy 4:1 in the CONTEXT of mentioning that God WILL HAVE (verb) ALL MEN to be SAVED (in 1 Timothy 2:4 – KJV, prior) as the MEANING of God is the Saviour of ALL MEN (in 1 Timothy 4:10) where ‘those who believe’ (a different phrase) are highlighted to be more ‘special’. So, who is quoting the warning of ‘false teachings’ in 1 Timothy 4:1 during the ‘latter times’ wrongly and out of context?

Also, if apostle Paul wanted to say that only believers will be saved, he could have just used the Greek phrase which means “those who believe” (in English) which he himself wrote in 1 Timothy 4:10 itself in these two verses as follows:

“Who will have THOSE WHO BELIEVE ONLY to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4)

“For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of THOSE WHO BELIEVE ONLY.” (1 Timothy 4:10)

Is that how it is WRITTEN in your Bible? Please compare with this example of a good translation as follows:

“Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4, KJV)

“For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” (1 Timothy 4:10, KJV)

Please also note that the VERB (“will have” – in 1 Timothy 2:4) is almost ‘only’ correctly translated by the KJV, the Douay-Rheims Bible & the Webster’s Bible Translation which is IMPRESSIVE.

Even if that word “thelei” (in Greek, a Verb) is translated into English to have a more ‘noun’ feel as “God Wills” as in the phrases such as “who wants” (NIV), “who desires” (NASB), “who would have” (ASV), “who willeth” (ERV), “who is willing” (Weymouth New Testament) or even “who doth will” (YLT) —> does it prove that His Will is just an Intention which will never come to Pass as your ‘eternal Hell theologians claim’?

Do you NOT know that God Will do ALL His Will by Himself in Lord Jesus Christ as whatever Written in Scripture for Him to Fulfill, He Will FULFILL it WITHOUT FAIL (Hebrews 10:9, Hebrews 10:7, Psalm 40:7, Matthew 5:17, John 17:4, John 4:34, John 19:30) —> which is to be Viewed Prophetically as well toward the END (Isaiah 46:10, Isaiah 14:24, Isaiah 48:3) —> Can you see it?

Please note that the the TENSES in Scripture (past or present or future) may NOT matter much as some things are Written in the ACCOMPLISHED sense even though it is NOT Done Yet by Him. I am not making this up as a clever argument but it is Written plainly in Scripture —> for example, please note the phrase “things which have not been done” toward the “end” as mentioned in Isaiah 46:10 —> or even the phrase “But now we do not yet see all things subjected to Him.” (Hebrews 2:8, NASB) in the CONTEXT of ALL Created things as it is mentioned in 1 Corinthians 15:24 – 28 regarding the END that God Will be ALL in All Creation (please see Colossians 1:16 with Colossians 1:20 to realize this too).

The Popular Fallacy that God Will is not done in our lives when we sin (points to our failures ONLY) and it is OUT of CONTEXT to even quote that as an argument when it refers to CHRIST Fulfilling God’s Will to SAVE ALL MEN (for example, 1 Timothy 2:4) where the LATTER is IMMUTABLE and WILL SURELY COME to PASS as a TESTIMONY in its OWN TIMES (1 Timothy 2:6) be it being SAVED FROM HELL too where the ‘spirit lives to God’ (1 Peter 4:6) post afterlife Judgment to the SAME DEAD as mentioned first in 1 Peter 4:5 (can you see it?) —> where apostle Paul who ‘skips’ the details of the Judgment Part in his infamous definition of the Gospel (in 1 Corinthians 15:1) –> explains straight regarding the END (1 Corinthians 15:24) of the Gospel —> such as in the Context of the HOPE for the RESURRECTION of the DEAD (1 Corinthians 15:21) for the WICKED too (Acts 24:16) being part of the ALL who die in ADAM who will eventually be MADE ALIVE in CHRIST too (1 Corinthians 15:22).

Can you see that HOPE of the Gospel?

Remember, what God SAYS, He WILL DO (“no” Failure by Christ, Numbers 23:19, Isaiah 46:10):

“So will My Word be which goes forth from My Mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11, NASB)

P/S: What is Important in Life?

If Knowing and Preaching all these from God’s Amazing Word is not important or is not so a big deal, then what is important in life?

Your family life?

Your money?

Your ministry which only saves you & damns the rest to an eternal Hell?

Your pursuit of a ‘better life’ for yourself on earth where it benefits only you and those who love you while damns your enemy to an eternal Hell?

Doesn’t such a take on life ‘focus on you only’ and especially ignores ‘your enemies’ which is AGAINST WHO Christ REALLY is?

Indeed, such a take on life seems to contradict these verses with regards to ‘earthly achievements’ – which are highly regarded by men – can you see it?:

“And He said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” (Luke 16:15, KJV)

“Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches” (Jeremiah 9:23, NASB)

It’s sad when churches focus on these instead under the modern concept of ‘evangelizing in the marketplace’ mixing their ‘career ambitions’ and influence to preach the Gospel instead of solely relying on the WORD of CHRIST only for FAITH (Romans 10:17) being ‘conformed to the patterns of this world’ by doing so (against Romans 12:2 plainly) trying to ‘win souls by preaching prosperity & blessings with a mix of worldly wisdom instead of relying on His Word ONLY’.

Many such things are done with ‘good intentions’ but NOT according to the Principles in His Word, contradicting His RULES (2 Timothy 2:5) for Christian Ministry as He Alone Defined it in New Testament Scripture (1 Corinthians 14:37) toward His apostles first (2 Peter 3:2) and His Will is that these are to be OBEYED in ALL Churches (1 Corinthians 11:16, 1 Timothy 6:3 – 4, 1 Corinthians 4:17, 1 Corinthians 14:33) where we ought to ‘speak the SAME thing’ as apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 1:10) who is the approved leader for us to follow, to follow Christ correctly (1 Corinthians 11:1 – 2, Philippians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 4:16) which are to be put to “practice” too (Philippians 4:9) with the intention “to bring about the OBEDIENCE of FAITH among ALL the GENTILES for His Name’s sake” (Romans 1:5, NASB).

Do you know that STICKING to the things taught by WORD or LETTER by apostle Paul (2 Thessalonians 2:15) is a sure way to ‘keep away from the antichrist’ as the consecutive verses from this same chapter prove as it is described in 2 Thessalonians 2:2 – 14 first?

One Look at the FACE of CHRIST, you will Realize too what mattered MOST in life as these VERSES Describe Beautifully:

(i) What’s MOST IMPORTANT in this temporal life on earth?

Firstly, KNOWING God:

“but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 9:24, NASB)

And the WISDOM of God to KNOW & UNDERSTAND it:

“For WISDOM is better than jewels; And all desirable things CANNOT COMPARE with her.” (Proverbs 8:11, NASB)

(ii) How is this IMPORTANT with regards to the AFTERLIFE?

Knowing which, we can TRULY LOVE too:

Yes, LOVING beyond our ‘family or those who Love us only’ to ‘LOVE our enemies too’ (not hypocritically, Romans 12:9 e.g. by assuming an eternal Hell for them later) but that they too may be SAVED by CHRIST eventually:

“But I say to you, LOVE your ENEMIES … so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the EVIL and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the UNRIGHTEOUS; For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? … Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is PERFECT” (Matthew 5:44 – 48, selected parts for emphasis).

For example, how did Christ Fulfill the Perfection of God as mentioned in Matthew 5:44 – 48 with regards to His ENEMIES too?

He mentioned it MAJESTICALLY a few VERSES prior in Matthew 5:19 itself confirming that both the ‘command-keeper’ (His Friends, John 15:14) and His ENEMIES too (the ‘command-breakers’) to be “in the kingdom of the heavens” too eventually (the same phrase is used for both cases – can you see it? which implies the SAME meaning ONLY that BOTH will be “in the kingdom of the heavens” One Day as Prophesied therein); Here is that Beautiful PROPHETIC Verse:

“Whoever then shall BREAK one of the least of these COMMANDMENTS and shall TEACH OTHERS the SAME, he will be called least IN the KINGDOM of the HEAVENS; but whoever shall keep and shall teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:19, BLB)

Doesn’t the VERSE above Clearly Prove that His LOVE is UNCONDITIONAL way past the Judgments where we endure our ‘own sins only’ (Galatians 6:7, Isaiah 3:11)? Amazing, isn’t it?

Please also note that the ONLY CONTEXT of which COMMANDMENTS is being referred to in Matthew 5:19 is ALL LAW and PROPHETS as the consecutive verses prove irrefutably being mentioned first in Matthew 5:17 – 18 first.

Can you see how Beautifully Merciful & Loving He Truly is toward those who BREAK any of the COMMANDMENTS of the LAW & PROPHETS by mentioning them also to be IN His Kingdom of the Heavens too eventually in Matthew 5:19?

Also, don’t you know that HIS LOVE (Agape) is the GREATEST because it is the ONLY LOVE which can Defeat & Overcome Death and Hell too as it is WRITTEN in Verses below (which is understood PROPHETICALLY when seen together)?

“Set me as a seal on thy heart, as a seal on thine arm, For strong as Death is Love, Sharp as Sheol is jealousy, Its burnings are burnings of Fire, a Flame of Jah!” (Song of Songs 8:6, YLT)

Since SHEOL (in Hebrew) or HADES (in Greek) or Hell (in English) as it is translated popularly refers to the ‘Unseen Realm of the Dead’, consider the Verse above with this English word instead:

“Set me as a SEAL on THY HEART, as a seal on THINE ARM, For STRONG as DEATH is LOVE, Sharp as HELL is JEALOUSY, Its burnings are burnings of FIRE, a FLAME of JAH!” (Song of Songs 8:6)

Doesn’t it Mysteriously (or Allegorically) refer to CHRIST’s HEART and HIS LOVE which is as Strong as DEATH & Jealous to SAVE us from HELL itself with the very FLAME of FIRE by JAH or YHWH Himself?

Indeed:

“From the hand of Sheol I do ransom them, From death I redeem them, Where is thy plague, O death? Where thy destruction, O Sheol? Repentance is hid from Mine eyes.” (Hosea 13:14, YLT)

or with the same replacement with the English word HELL:

“From the hand of HELL I do RANSOM them, From DEATH I REDEEM them, Where is thy plague, O Death? Where thy destruction, O Hell? Repentance is hid from Mine Eyes.” (Hosea 13:14)

Can you His LOVE with SAVES from HELL from the above Verse itself which is evidenced by the words RANSOM and REDEEM in Hosea 13:14 toward those who are bound in HELL & DEATH first (even into the Lake of Fire, Revelation 20:14 – 15)?

The Phrase “Repentance is hid from Mine eyes” in Hosea 13:14 simply means that HE Will SURELY DO IT (Absolute Assurance in CHRIST).

Truly, regarding HIS MAJESTIC and INCOMPARABLE LOVE:

“But now faith, hope, LOVE, abide these three; but the GREATEST of these is LOVE.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NASB)

Here is a DEEP Mystery from Holy Scripture for those who are able to receive it:

Do you know that Lord Jesus Christ called Judas as SATAN-first (John 6:70 – 71, John 13:2, John 13:27, Luke 22:3) —> but His LAST Word toward Judas when He was Betrayed was to Call him (Judas) –> as FRIEND (in Matthew 26:50). Can you see it?

I Believe that CHRIST is Mysteriously PROPHESYING ALLEGORICALLY and LITERALLY that Judas (Satan) will be HIS FRIEND again through that Betrayal at His Cross by His BLOOD through which HE will RECONCILE (Colossians 1:20) ALL Created Things which includes His ENEMIES too (Definition, Colossians 1:16) agreeing to these infamous quotes regarding this as well (where the conversion is from ENEMY or SATAN or ADVERSARY —> to FRIEND by CHRIST’s Intervention ONLY in the END):

Abraham Lincoln said, “God destroys His enemies by making them His friends”.

St. Jerome too echoed this truth about 400 years after Christ that “All God’s enemies perish; not that they cease to exist but that they cease to be enemies”.
