His Reign to the ages of Ages
Here’s the timeline:
1) Wisdom — to — Death
Lord Jesus Christ said:
“for I will give to you a mouth and wisdom that all your opposers shall not be able to refute or resist.
‘And ye shall be delivered up also by parents, and brothers, and kindred, and friends, and they shall put of you to death; ” (Luke 21:15 – 16)
2) His Return
“‘And there shall be signs in sun, and moon, and stars, and on the land [is] distress of nations with perplexity, sea and billow roaring;
men fainting at heart from fear, and expectation of the things coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
‘And then they shall see the Son of Man, coming in a cloud, with power and much glory;” (Luke 21:25 – 27)
3) ‘near is the reign of God’
“so also ye, when ye may see these things happening, ye know that near is the reign of God;” (Luke 21:31)
4) Duration of His reign: To the ‘ages’ (subset) of Ages (Set)
“And the seventh angel did sound, and there came great voices in the heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of the world did become those of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign to the ages of the ages!’” (Revelation 11:15)
5) End of His Reign (till ‘ages of Ages’) — Last Enemy (Death) — Destroyed (cease to exist)
“Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
For He must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet.
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” (1 Corinthians 15:24 – 26)
6) Revealed — only when the last enemy (death) is destroyed (cease to exist) — immortality and life of the Gospel comes to ‘light’ (known, fulfilled)
“but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, Who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” (2 Timothy 1:10)
7) His Reign ends because — Finally — In the end — God becomes ‘All in All’
That is in ‘all things’, He fills them ‘all’.
Creation Perfected.
“And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.” (1 Corinthians 15:28)
This is the End of the Bible as Christ fulfills the Will of God Perfectly.
