How and Why to Forgive Great Sins against Us?
Some of us face a situation where others have done “great sins or offenses” toward us.
Instead of cursing them back (like the world), the Bible reveals ‘what to do’ (use it for your spiritual advantage instead regardless of the worldly damage it has caused you) as this verse reveals:
“A person’s wisdom makes him slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.” (Proverbs 19:11)
How?
By “Wisdom” as the verse above mentions to “defer your anger” (patience) and “forgive” (overlook an offense).
Why?
For “your glory”.
P/S:
Remember, by incidents like that, you learn their true character by “their fruits” (including offenses toward you) as it’s written:
“you will know them by their fruits” – Lord Jesus Christ
Lastly, keep it a practice to “not do evil toward anyone” but “good only” even toward those who have done “many wrongs toward you” as Scripture commands it (this trains you to walk your faith in a purer manner – your character moulding).
It doesn’t matter what the world knows/don’t know (don’t waste your time on it), what matters is “God knows”.
