Christian Leaders

Judgment – Christian Leaders

Question (Someone Wrote to me)

Don’t criticise God’s servants even if they done wrong or if you disagree with them. You don’t have to respect them but honor the anointing of God upon them.

Trust me, God will reward your honor with His anointing as a reward into your life.

Those who criticise other anointing ones will eventually limit the anointing of God in their own life. Be very careful.

What’s your thoughts?

1) Where is the Verse for the claim above?

2) Fact: the honour toward God’s Servants only works when the Servant is doing it Right.

3) King David didn’t hurt king Saul because the latter was the Lord’s Anointed but David didn’t approve or agree with Saul.

4) The Verse below gives right for any Christian to Judge any other Christian (leader or otherwise):

“It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.” (1 Corinthians 5:12 – 13, NLT)

The Verse above doesn’t allow a Christian to “judge Najib” but can “judge your pastor or any Christian”.

5) Rebuke “Elders” (leaders) of the Church “Publically & Severely”, Verses:

“For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint ELDERS in every city as I directed you… This testimony is true. For this reason REPROVE them [“elders”] SEVERELY so that they may be sound in the faith,” (Titus 1:5, 13, NASB)

Conclusion

Even Christ and apostle Paul rebuked and corrected religious leaders Publically and Severely (e. g. Matthew 23) and we follow likewise (1 Corinthians 11:1).

There is “no” blessing in “covering up the sin of another Christian or Pastor” as the Verse below means generally too:

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13, NASB)

If the “leader” (pastor or even the highest positions such as a “Bishop”) refuses to repent from that sin, “rebuke even more Publically” as the Verse below instructs:

“The ELDERS who rule well are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching…

Those [ELDERS] who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also will be fearful of sinning.” (1 Timothy 5:17, 20, NASB)

If they cannot handle this level of transparency and responsibility, please ask those “Christian Leaders” to resign & be “Christian Workers” only.

Peace to you
