The Last Great Stand – As in the Days of Noah

(i) Rare Faith – Faith ‘as it is written’

True Faith will be rare ‘as in the Days of Noah’ as they ‘did not understand’ too:

“For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. “For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. ” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:37 – 39, NASB)

“I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 18:8)

(ii) Traditions of Scripture not abandoned

Truth is rare and St.Athanasius of Alexandria in his time stood up for the Truth of Trinity in the midst of a time of turmoil where many were abandoning the Trinity doctrine.

We ought to follow the Traditions (1 Corinthians 11:2, 1 Corinthians 14:33, 1 Corinthians 11:16, 1 Thessalonians 4:1 – 2) which are written in Holy Scripture as delivered through apostle Paul too (1 Corinthians 14:37) for the ‘Sole Purpose of Following Christ’ (1 Corinthians 11:1) such as 1 Corinthians 11 & 1 Corinthians 14 (and NOT the fake traditions of men such as ‘Mary Worship or Mary Adoration’ even the abominable title ‘Mother of God’ of which they can quote history to prove it but “NO” verses proving that it’s man-made):

‘Even if Catholics faithful to tradition are reduced to a handful, they are the ones who are the true Church of Jesus Christ’ – St. Athanasius of Alexandria (‘father of Orthodoxy’)

I don’t like the title ‘father of Orthodoxy’ simple because Christ Commanded to ‘call no man father’ (Matthew 23:9) in the ‘context of a spiritual father’ but that’s how he is known by the Orthodox & Catholic designation of his title.

When St. Athanasius quotes the ‘Catholic Church’ it does NOT refer to the ‘modern day Roman Catholic church originating from Rome (West)’ but the ‘Universal Church’ which was existing at that time especially in the East. The Word ‘Catholic’ means ‘Universal’.

(iii) All according to His Word ONLY = as ‘it is written’ ONLY

We must observe all Laws which are instructed for the New Covenant too (‘no’ lawlessness, Acts 15:29, 1 Corinthians 14:37, 1 Corinthians 11:2, 1 Thessalonians 4:1 – 2)

“To the Law and to the Testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8:20, KJV)

(iv) Only a Few find His Truth

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:13 – 14)

How to identify ‘which few’? We see it in the Great Warning found in this ‘same chapter’ (a few verses later) namely that, ‘the few are those who did NOT practice lawlessness’ or ‘those who practiced His Law for the New Covenant as well’ (implied as doing God’s Will too):

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’

“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:21 – 23, NASB)

*Even the ‘Christian ministry work’ of ‘casting out demons’, ‘prophesying in His Name’ & even ‘other Great Miracles/Works’ will NOT count when done in ‘Lawlessness’ (i.e inclusive of ‘all things’.when done NOT according to God’s Law or Order, 1 Corinthians 14:40)

Conclusion

For ‘those who obey God’s Word’ as ‘it is written’:

“The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.” (Proverbs 10:7, NASB)

“Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever (to the age) and ever (permanently).” (Daniel 12:3, NASB)

“So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12, NASB)

P/S:

The Warnings against ‘not’ obeying these writings of Apostle Paul which are the Blessed Lord’s Commands is serious (please be wise):

“So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.” (1 Thessalonians 4:8, NASB)

“If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I write to you are the Lord’s commandment. But if anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized.” (1 Corinthians 14:37 – 38, NASB)

“But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.” (1 Corinthians 11:31 – 32, NASB)
