One Wish
“Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 16:24)
These men who were given “One Wish” by the Lord chose to ask ‘nothing’ though they are ‘sons of God’ through Him.
Why?
A possible reason is that since they know He has come to fulfill the ‘Greatest One Wish’ of all which is “immortality”, so there’s nothing greater to ask for.
Now, since God alone has Immortality in Himself, He gives it to the World (believers first, as a Testimony) through ‘His Life’ given Freely as the Gift of God eventually to all, for He remains unchanged as “Saviour of the World” as it is written:
“We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.” – apostle John (1 John 4:14)
That’s the “One Wish” for all as believed by “we” (collectively by all ‘sons of God’) as the verse above clearly testifies.
Lastly, who are the ‘appointed sons of God’ from among men too? True Believers.
Well as the end of this age draws near, those who ‘believe’ likewise are the ‘awaited ones’ as the ‘sons of God’:
“For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.” – apostle Paul (Romans 8:19)
