Secrets of God

“God is the life of all free beings. He is the salvation of all, of believers and unbelievers, of the just and the unjust, of the pious or the impious, of those freed from the passions or caught up in them, of monks and those living in the world, of the educated or the illiterate, of the healthy or the sick, of the young or the very old. He is like the outpouring of light, the glimpse of the sun, or the changes of the weather, which are the same for everyone without exception.” – St John Climacus, Abbot of Sinai (525-606 AD)

God makes known His secrets to His saints:

“Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets.” – prophet Amos (Amos 3:7)

“that is, the mystery (or secret) which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints,” – apostle Paul (Colossians 1:26)

“The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.” – king David (Psalm 25:14)

“He revealeth the deep and secret things: He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with Him.” – prophet Daniel (Daniel 2:22)
