It ends ‘horribly’ (get ‘knowledge & wisdom’ instead):

“For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.” (Proverbs 1:32)

Seek the right things first:

(i) Not ‘prosperity’ first but ‘His Kingdom & His Righteousness’

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 6:33)

(ii) Not ‘simple’ faith with ‘no understanding’ but rather, ‘Wisdom’ (to ‘understand’ His Word), the ‘Principal‘ thing:

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7)

If ‘not’ (‘turning away‘), read the first verse quoted above ‘carefully’, you may end up ‘slayed‘ or ‘destroyed‘; if not here, in the afterlife for sure.
