TEST

Consider the logic tests below which are based on Scripture:

(i) Which one sounds like a profane fable? (The Profanity Test)

“But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness.” (1 Timothy 4:7)

Eternal hell (of which the Greek mythologies to other stories found elsewhere on earth across the cultures who have their own versions of it too) versus Universal Salvation (which no one has except that it is unique to Christianity through the work of the Cross by the Immortal Son of God – Jesus). God saving ‘all’ sounds profane or that He tortures the rest with eternal fire sounds more profane?

Note that just after warning Timothy to keep away from fables, apostle Paul clearly writes three verses later (in context) that God is the Saviour of all men… (1 Timothy 4:10). This clearly implies that Universal Salvation (with regards to men in strict context of the verse in consideration) cannot be a fable since Paul clearly exhorts Timothy to believe this (Universal Salvation of men) to keep away from those profane and old wives’ fables.

(ii) Which one sounds more like the plain revelation of the Father (i.e. Great Saviour versus Great Tormentor) by Jesus? (The Plain Test)

“These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.” (John 16:25)

If you find the Bible a mystery, that’s because you have not experienced the revelation given plainly by the Son  of God – Lord Jesus. He did not lie when He said the above and that when we have Him, we are able to plainly understand the Holy Scriptures too.

(iii) Cunning or not cunning? (The Cunningness Test)

“that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,” (Ephesians 4:14)

Which one sounds cunning?

The ‘idioms excuse’ or ‘literal one meaning’ method of translation?

Under the ‘idioms excuse’ – the punishments are ‘forever and ever’.

While,

Under the ‘literal one meaning’ method – punishments are limited in time and hence do not last ‘forever and ever’.

Note that if you accept the ‘idioms excuse’, it leads you to believe in an eternal hell while if you accept the ‘literal one meaning’ method, you will end up believing universal salvation.

(iv) Do you believe the All in the Bible? (The All Test)

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” (John 14:26)

Note that Lord Jesus clearly says that those who have the Holy Spirit will have an understanding of all things. This is because the Holy Spirit of God teaches you all things. (not some things or selected parts only). This point itself is evidence enough that many who claim to be pastors, leaders, teachers etc…  may not even have the Holy Spirit* at all. Not only that the Bible teachers of today seem to know ‘not all of the Word’ but also that many seem to know ‘nothing at all’ with respect to the Word of God (Bible).

*Note: Blaspheme on this point and you may find yourself in deep trouble simply because it involves the Holy Spirit.

Apart from that, the all things that are mentioned by Lord Jesus is clearly in the context (with respect to) of what is found in the Bible only. Our Lord Himself mentions this context of all things of the Bible in the verse above (John 14:26) because the all things are relative to His word as is evident when He says, ‘all things that I said to you’.

Let us consider an example of the all things that Bible teaches.

(What does Christ do with the all things?)

John the Baptist declares that all things are given (delivered) to His Hand (Jesus) by the Father (in John 3:35). Christ Jesus Himself says that of the all (i.e. the all things) which have been given to Him, He will not cast them out (John 6:37) when they will all come to Him eventually (John 6:37). Note that the all includes in context even the unbelieving ones (John 6:36). He doesn’t stop there. The same all things is said by our Lord to be raised up (made alive) by Him in the appropriate time (Last Day) in accordance to the Will (of the Father) so that Christ loses nothing (i.e. none are lost or to remain perished ‘forever and ever’ – see John 6:39).

The verses quoted in passage above are:

“The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His Hand.”

(John 3:35)

“But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe.”

 “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” (John 6:36 – 37)

“This is the Will of the Father who sent me, that of all He has given Me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.”

(John 6:39)

Indeed, Christ reconciles all things (see Colossians 1:20) so that

in the end, God may be ‘all in all’. (see 1 Corinthians 15:24, 28).

(v) ‘To Test’ or ‘To not Test’? (The Test Test)

“Test all things; hold fast to what is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

Some Christians would warn you not to even dare ‘to test what the pastor’ or ‘what they say’ to be good or not. Quite the contrary, the Bible clearly teaches us to test all things – not some things but all. Therefore, we have to do what is instructed in Scripture which is to test everything in order to be one who is obedient to the Word. Hence, we don’t just blindly accept whatever a pastor or anyone (including me) says. Be like the Bereans who practised this principle and were commended for it as Scripture itself records:

“These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.”

(Acts 17:11)

Note that in the case of the Bereans, they were listening to the preaching of Paul and Silas (Acts 17:10 – even the best preacher of today may not be a match at all to them in terms of accuracy in the truth that was being shared). Even then, the Bereans checked the Scriptures for themselves daily if these things were so and were commended for it (because they were called fair minded or noble minded even more so than those of Thessalonica who did not embark such).

Let’s do the ‘Test’ test on this one thing:

Does ‘eternal hell’ or ‘universal salvation’ sound good?

Whatever your answer may be, hold on to it as Scripture above instructs literally. (in 1 Thessalonians 5:21)

As for me, only universal salvation sounds good. (Good News)

On the other hand, eternal hell sounds bad. (Bad News)

(vi) How to be wise? (The Wisdom Test)

“Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:17)

Which one sounds wise?

Creation’s will can be in contrary to God’s will ‘forever’ causing an eternal hell to exist (The Augustinian Myth) versus Creation’s will cannot be in contrary to God’s Will ‘forever’ since our God does not fail and that His Will is Supreme amongst other things.

The answer to the query above is simple:

Creation cannot be in contrary to God’s Will ‘forever’ simply because God’s will itself is to save the world (John 3:17) and that He will not fail in doing so because He can and will do all His pleasure (including His Will – which gives Him pleasure; Isaiah 46:10). Thus the only logical conclusion here is that universal salvation must be true.

Note that this correlates with Ephesians 5:17 above which literally points out that being wise has to do with understanding what the Will of the Lord is (which is universal salvation – to save the world – John 3:17).

In particular, consider with regards to the salvation of all Israel, the verses below:

“For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

  And ‘so all Israel will be saved’, as it is written:

  ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion,

   And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;’

(Romans 11:25 – 26)

Apostle Paul clearly mentions above that if one ignores (being ignorant of) this mystery (i.e. all Israel will be saved – part of the universal salvation but focusing on men), then one has become wise in your own opinion.

(vii) Whose testimony should we believe? (The Testimony Test)

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

(Revelation 12:11)

There are two main camps claiming miraculous encounters with Christ. One is the eternal hell camp while the second is the universalist camp both of which consists of Christians.

Now, who is having the right interpretation to these supernatural encounters?

Just like the case with Numbers 12 in the issue of interracial marriage, it is Christian versus Christian again. Moses was approved by God to be the one who understood Him plainly while Aaron (the pastor) and Miriam (the worship leader) together with the rest of the prophets at that time only saw in dark sayings consisting of both visions and dreams have thus erred greatly though all three were used by God in different periods of time for His purposes.

Some of the famous Christians in the eternal hell camp who claimed to have had mystical encounters are:

Mary Baxter, Choo Nam, Angelica Zambrano, Bill Weise, Dr DGS Dhinakaran, Swedenborg* and the Korean artist who drew hell.

*Actually I cannot be certain 100% whether Swedenborg is an eternal hell believer or an universalist Christian.

Similarly, some of the famous Christians in the universalist camp who claimed to have had mystical encounters are:

Julian of Norwich, Sadhu Sundar Singh.

There is an interesting link between the two camps fore-mentioned:

Dr DGS Dhinakaran claimed to have seen Sadhu Sundar Singh in heaven while Sadhu Sundar Singh has claimed during his lifetime to have seen Emmanuel Swedenborg in heaven.

Now, if the true Christian God is:

(i) The eternal hell God, would He then allow universalists such as Sundar Singh not just to have visions about heaven/hell during their lifetimes but also that they enter into heaven with the error of universalism? I think not because it would then nullify or contradict the doctrine of eternal-hell.

(ii) The universalist God, He may then allow those with the error of eternal hell to have dark and obscure visions about heaven/hell and make wrong interpretations of it simply because it does not in any way nullify nor contradict the doctrine of Christian – universalism.

Since logic itself is a test of consistency, therefore the only one class of testimony which is not contradictory is the Universalist one. Hence even by testimony, we see that it must be that universalism

is the one truth since it has no  100% self-saving concept agreeing with the did not love their lives to the death in (Revelation 12:11).

Oppositely, people in the eternal hell camp believe primarily to save themselves only which is a 100% self-saving concept.

Remember that even Dr DGS Dhinakaran (approved by even Benny Hinn and the rest from the eternal hell camp to have the gifts of the Holy Spirit) has confirmed an undisputed Universalist in heaven, namely, Sadhu Sundar Singh.

Unknowingly, the eternal hell – believing Dr DGS Dhinakaran himself has proved that God is a Universalist simply because sundar Singh is in heaven. Many other tests may be developed to test for truth but the seven ones above would suffice to prove the case without doubt that Christian universalism is the truth regarding the final destiny of all creation.
