The Great Mystery
The Great Mystery – God became Man (Flesh)
“And the Word (God) became Flesh (Man, Jesus), and dwelt among us, and we saw His (Jesus) glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)
How do we know that the “Word” refers to “God”? The first verse of this chapter testifies to this truth (perfect context):
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)
How do we know that the “Great Mystery or Secret of Godliness” begins with “God being manifested in the Flesh”, i.e. God became Man?
Indeed, it’s with great controversy as “God Revealed” Himself in this manner:
“And without controversy, great is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifest in the Flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (1 Timothy 3:16)
The latter part of the verse above will come to pass for you cannot deny your Creator when you meet Him one day. It’s just a question of “when” (time).
A clue: The wise believe in Him even before seeing (being Blessed).
