The Oppressed and The Oppressor
If you’re “oppressed” (e.g. treated unfairly by ‘people in power’), know this: the Bible clearly states that “oppressors” have power in this temporal life:
“Then I looked again at all the acts of oppression which were being done under the sun. And behold I saw the tears of the oppressed and that they had no one to comfort them; and on the side of their oppressors was power, but they had no one to comfort them.” (Ecclesiastes 4:1)
But, God knows as He declares these words of ‘comfort’ to the ‘oppressed’:
“The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” (Psalm 9:9)
P/S:
Never Oppress with your Power
Why?
God Will ‘pay back’ (as that ‘day’ of their ‘calamity’ draws nigh):
“‘Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, In due time their foot will slip; For the day of their calamity is near, And the impending things are hastening upon them.‘” (Deuteronomy 32:35)
“Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord.” (Romans 12:19)
“For we know the One having said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge His people.” (Hebrews 10:30)
