  • Why is Life Unpredictable and Unfair?

The Unpredictability of “Time & Chance” – nothing is certain with regards to ‘prosperity & favor’ in life. Here is a Verse testifying to it:

“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11)

God in His Wisdom Willed it such perhaps to teach us to “Seek Him Unconditionally” (E.g. Wanting God even with or without prosperity, regardless of the situation we are in, indicating true faith without expectations as the story of faithful Job reveals too).

    Please consider:

    (i) Remember that it’s “Satan’s logic” that ‘one follows God to gain something from Him’ (E.g. ‘prosperity & protection’ as the verses below reveal):

“The LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.”

Then Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear God for nothing?

“Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

“But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.”

Then the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the LORD.” (Job 1:8 – 12)

Job never knew that he was going to receive ‘double blessings’ for ‘all that he lost prior’. He remained faithful and his faith was independent of ‘conditions’ such as “God must bless me or protect me because I am faithful etc.”.

A truly “mature faith” indeed which is ‘amazing’ & echoes the ‘similar faith of such faithful ones who faced unfairness in life due to their faith in the living God’ but didn’t let “situation or unfairness” faced in life on account of that to ‘go against God’; Of such, “God was not ashamed to be called their God” as it is written:

“All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.” (Hebrews 11:13)

“But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.” (Hebrews 11:16)

“choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.” (Hebrews 11:25 – 26)

    “Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection;

and others experienced mockings and scourgings, yes, also chains and imprisonment.

They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tempted, they were put to death with the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated (men of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes in the ground.

And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised, because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect.” (Hebrews 11:35 – 40)

(ii) Also, it is “Satan’s logic” that ‘one worships god to gain from him’:

“Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; and he (Satan) said to Him (Lord Jesus Christ) , “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” (Matthew 7:8 – 9)

    Conclusion:

Satan is given the dominion to be the ‘god of this age (aion, eon, limited time, not eternity)’:

“in whose case the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:4)

Satan being the ‘god of this age’ does play a role on ‘why’ this world is so ‘unpredictable’ & ‘unfair’. It will eventually ‘end’ when Christ returns and takes over permanently at the end of this age.

*The word translated as ‘age’ in 2 Corinthians 4:4 is from the ‘same’ root word (“aion, eon in Greek”) as the word translated as ‘everlasting or eternal’ say in the infamous Matthew 25:46 below:

“And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during.’” (Matthew 25:46)

So, if “aion, eon” meant ‘eternal/everlasting’ in Matthew 25:46, ‘honest translators’ should translate 2 Corinthians 2:2 as ‘eternal/everlasting too’ causing the blasphemy that ‘satan is god of/for eternity’ (which is obviously false).

The ‘true literal meaning’ of the Greek Word used is just an “age” (an unknown but limited, long unrevealed period of ‘time’ with both a ‘beginning & end’) which are created by God through Christ Himself as it is written (relating to the ‘same’ Greek root word of ‘aion, eon’):

“by faith we understand the ages to have been prepared by a saying of God, in regard to the things seen not having come out of things appearing;” (Hebrews 11:3)

**The ‘obvious wrong translations’ of rendering ‘aion, eon’ from the ‘same root word’ (“age, a time period”) instead as ‘world’ (in 2 Corinthians 4:4) & ‘worlds’ (in Hebrews 11:3) or ‘everlasting’ (in Matthew 25:46) under the ‘invented context argument’ is clearly an example of ‘dishonesty in translation’ as well as some sort of ‘adding/removing/both from His Holy Word’.

***The fact is that the Greek word for “world” exists and it’s ‘kosmos’ and it is “not” occurring in the quoted verses above & is “not” ‘similar’ in any way to the Greek word ‘aion, eon’ where the former refers to the ‘universe’ (in English) while the latter refers to an ‘age, a limited time period’ (in English).

Universe and time are not the same thing in English as it is exactly like that in Greek too.

Here’s an example of when “both” the words relating to “kosmos” (world) and “aion, eon” (age, age-during) occurs in the ‘same’ verse eliminating the ‘man-made context argument’ which is never needed as these words could be used ‘together’ too in a Verse without any ‘confusion created by the context argument’,

The irony is that it’s probably Christianity’s most famous verse, John 3:16:

“for God did so love the world (kosmon), that His Son — the only begotten — He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during (aionion).” (John 3:16)

    (transliterated Greek word in brackets);

Believers come into the reward of age-during life while the wicked are corrected for their betterment during the punishment in the age-during punishment too agreeing perfectly with Matthew 25:46.

Beyond that or in any time in between “as God Wills”, He ‘Will save all men’:

“Who (God our Saviour) will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4)

    (Emphasis mine)

The Original New Testament Scripture in Greek is Inerrant and God-breathed but our translations have their accuracy and errors accordingly as we have seen so clearly.

We should stop idolising translations but rather honor His Holy Word as it is written in the originals even if we don’t understand its meaning “without changing any word” (being ‘honest’ and ‘not liars’ who add/remove from His Word’ to fit our preconceived, “no” verse theological errors).

Blessed be KING Yeshua, the Blessed Messiah & Saviour of the World!
