All will Believe eventually – No Favoritism in the Election of Grace

“Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.” (Proverbs 2:9, KJV)

 

(i) Elected by Grace

“(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the Purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of Him that calleth;)” (Romans 9:11, KJV)

“Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved” (Romans 9:27, KJV)

 

Question: Does election of Grace prove partiality in God as some claim?

Example verses for Election of Grace are John 15:16, John 17:6, Ephesians 1:4, Ephesians 2:10, 2 Thessalonians 2:13.

No. How? Please consider the explanation below:

Election of Grace is by God’s Choice Alone toward a ‘remnant’ at the ‘present time’ (the example of Israel proves this):

“And it is not possible that the word of God hath failed; for not all who are of Israel are these Israel;” (Romans 9:6, YLT)

“Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.” (Romans 11:5, KJV)

We see that a ‘remnant’ (or the ‘elect of God’) are called to ‘believe & be saved’ from the ‘Wrath to come’ (1 Thessalonians 1:10) & with ‘no afterlife Judgment too’ (John 5:24).

Election does NOT mean that ‘only believers’ are going to be Saved (contradicting verses such as 1 Timothy 2:4 & 1 Timothy 4:10) but rather that ‘believers are more special’ (1 Timothy 4:10) in that they come under ‘no afterlife Judgment’ (John 5:24) & even will ‘not suffer the Wrath of God which is to come’ (1 Thessalonians 1:10). Also, believers or the ‘elect of God’ clearly refers to the ones ‘saved’ in this ‘present time only’ (Romans 11:5) and not for all time as the verses quoted clearly contain the claimed words making these distinctions valid & sure.

In other words, those ‘elected by Grace’ (‘believers’, the Church of God) are the more special ones who will be saved by His Grace where this being more special is clearly seen in that these come under ‘no afterlife Judgment’ (John 5:24) & will ‘not suffer the Wrath of God’ (1 Thessalonians 1:10). The Elect are chosen from the ‘present time’ (Romans 11:5) regarding the current ‘Today’ which is the more special Day of Salvation which pertains to this (Hebrews 4:7).

However, Election of Grace does NOT mean that ‘only’ believers are Saved as so carelessly erred in popular exegesis in support of eternal Hell simply because other verses such as 1 Timothy 4:10 clearly implies that God Will Save All men (1 Timothy 2:4) eventually in His Own Divinely appointed Times (1 Timothy 2:6) though believers are mentioned to be more special in 1 Timothy 4:10 itself proving this irrefutably too!

Apostle Paul demonstrates in Romans 9 – 11 concerning both the doctrine of Election by Grace for the ”elect, believers of Israel” (a subset of believers in Romans 9:6, Romans 11:5) but also says that we should not to be ‘ignorant’ of the ‘mystery/secret’ that ‘all Israel will be saved’ eventually too (Romans 11:26) which includes even ‘the Israelite enemies of the Gospel too’ (Romans 11:28) & this same Salvation is implied toward “All” too by His “Mercy” (Romans 11:32) causing ‘Reconciliation of the whole World eventually’ (Romans 11:15) which includes both the ‘obedient & disobedient’ (Romans 11:30 – 31) —-> yes, both the ‘obedient and the disobedient’ will eventually be ‘in the kingdom of the heavens’ (Matthew 5:19) due to His Mercy to ‘All’ (Romans 11:32) Reconciling ‘All in the World’ eventually (2 Corinthians 5:19, Colossians 1:16 with Colossians 1:20) because God Alone is God to ‘All’ (Psalm 145:9, Mark 10:18) as it is Written in the quoted verses so plainly. Isn’t it Amazingly Obvious in Holy Scripture?

(ii) All Will believe in Him eventually

Regarding ‘believing’ and ‘not continuing in unbelief’ (Romans 11:23), the Bible clearly speaks of two types of believing as demonstrated in verses below:

“So the other disciples were saying to him [Thomas], “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.”

Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.” (John 20:25 – 29, NASB)

 

(a) Those who believe in Him without seeing Him

This type of believing is called ‘faith’ where ‘one believes without seeing’ as it is defined in Hebrews 11:1 and refers to more ‘blessedness’ (John 20:29).

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1, KJV)

“and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,” (1 Peter 1:8, NASB)

Yes, ‘only the believing without seeing’ gains the ‘blessedness’ of ‘not being condemned first in afterlife Judgment (John 5:24) as ‘the rest die in their own sins receiving Judgment based on what they have done – first’, (John 8:24, Galatians 6:7, 2 Corinthians 5:10)’ as even the verse below clearly distinguishes:

“By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.” (Hebrews 11:7, NASB)

“Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 8:24, NASB)

 

(b) Those who believe in Him after seeing Him

As the verses in John 20:25 – 29 itself demonstrates, apostle Thomas ‘only believed’ after ‘seeing Him’. This type of believing is rarely distinguished in popular exegesis even though it is plainly Written in the quoted verses as well as in the verse below too:

“And this is the Will of Him that sent Me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting [age-during] life: and I will raise him up at the Last Day” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 6:40, KJV)

Please notice carefully that ‘every one’ who ‘sees’ (yes, literally sees the Son, e.g. in the afterlife, implied) —> and chooses ‘not to remain in unbelief’ (Romans 11:23, His Unchanging principle) —> will have [age-during] life too, but being Raised at the Last Day —> meaning, Raised for ‘life at that next age onward’ when the Judgment till the ‘Last Day of the current age’ is endured first accordingly due to one’s sin – first. Can we see it?

This context is true for ‘All things’ which are given to Him (John 3:35) which will be Raised at the ‘Last Day’ [of their respective last-age or eon of Judgment which pertains to them, implied] as even the verse prior to the one above clearly implies with regards to the ‘Will of God’ that Lord Jesus Christ ‘Loses None’ of these All things given to Him:

“And this is the Father’s Will which hath sent Me, that of all which He hath given Me I should Lose Nothing, but should Raise it up again at the Last Day.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 6:39, KJV)

Thus I see that the ‘Last Day – singular’ refers to the various ‘time period’ with respect to the ‘last age’ which in concern with regards to Judgment for a particular creation (e.g. be it men or creation). For example, the ‘Last Day’ for men could be the ‘end of the next age’ or for the Devil it could refer to the ‘Last Day’ for the ‘last age in the ages’ for which he is to be punished accordingly.

The verse below too mentions this ‘less-blessed’ case of believing in Him after seeing Him first (implied by looking at the ‘Son of Man’ after He has been Lifted Up or Resurrected to Heaven, implied even in context by the previous verses which say that this refers to ‘heavenly things’ or ‘afterlife context’ in John 3:11 – 13):

“As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be Lifted Up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal [age-during] life.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:14 – 15, NASB)

The Truth that Christ ‘Draws’ (Drags/Catches “All” men) as the Fisher of “All” Men after He has been Lifted Up (Resurrected to Heaven, after ‘He Dies First for the Sin of the World, His Resurrection signified thereafter’, John 12:33) is clearly echoed in verse below too agreeing to all this:

“And I, when I am Lifted Up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 12:32, BSB)

Perhaps ‘age-during life’ then is being able to live from ‘one age to the next age’ when it is granted to ‘all’ (John 3:35, John 13:3) when they are ‘Raised’ up by Him & He ‘Loses None’ of the ‘All things’ (John 6:39). Yes, the ‘only definition’ of which ‘all things’ apostle John is referring too is clearly ‘all creation in the World’ as it is clearly implied in John 1:3 agreeing perfectly to the other ‘same’ definition of ‘all created things’ as apostle Paul mentions in Colossians 1:16 first which he then continues to say that —-> ‘All created things’ will be Reconciled back to Him in Colossians 1:20. Isn’t God’s Will which will be Triumphantly Fulfilled by Lord Jesus Christ Alone so plain in Holy Scripture?

Where is the verse which implies that all will believe in Him eventually?

That’s why even “unbelief” cannot stop the ‘Faith of God’ = ‘Faith of Jesus Christ’ to ‘Save the World’ & misunderstanding this Fact in some way is a chief reason why ‘every man’ is a ‘liar’ as the verses below clearly reveal this mystery, when accurately translated as follows:

“For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the Faith of God without effect?

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That Thou [God] mightest be justified in Thy Sayings, and mightest overcome when Thou [God] art judged.” (Romans 3:3 – 4, KJV)

This is the Unchangeable Truth:

“If we believe not, yet He [Lord Jesus Christ] abideth Faithful: He cannot deny Himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13, KJV)

How is God not bias in the election of Grace?

How is God not showing favoritism by choosing the Jews and now the Christians?

Please note the word “equity” in Proverbs 2:9 (KJV).

If we expected God to be ‘Equal’ to all in the ‘no differences’ sense —-> then there should not be male-female or man-angel even there should not be different faces for each of us, different skin colours, different abilities etc. We know that this is not the case with ‘reality’.

So, how about “equity” say in that God created both the rich & the poor Proverbs 22:2? How is God Fair in this?

The Truth is that ‘True Equality’ is only achieved with ‘Equity’.

 

What is True Equality?

True Equality is not everyone having the ‘same’ things in the end where the end refers to the afterlife where everything will be balanced & straightened out to True Equality till God’s Salvation is achieved for All flesh/All men (Luke 3:5 – 6, Isaiah 40:4 – 5) when Judgment rises to Victory (Matthew 12:20, Isaiah 42:3) in Mercy ending Judgment itself (James 2:13) as the Last Word for ‘All’ too (Romans 11:32). Yes, True Equality is giving one ‘based on what he has done first’ (Romans 2:6, Matthew 16:27, Revelation 22:12). To give the wicked the same rewards as the righteous during Judgment is unfair.

Now, the ‘election of Grace’ comes with a ‘higher risk for Judgment too when we disobey or fall out’ (Hebrews 6:4 – 8) which is determined by ‘our choices in life whether it is according to the Will of God or not (Matthew 7:19 – 23)’ where these ones when they ‘fall out by their wrong choices’ end up being ‘burned in fire’ (judged too, Hebrews 6:8, Matthew 7:19). This ‘afterlife fire’ is the ‘age-during fire’ (Matthew 18:8, the fire of punishment which is set to burn into the age) as it is referred to as the ‘age-during Judgment’ (Hebrews 6:2) too which is a ‘basic/elementary teaching’ (Hebrews 6:1).

So, the Election of Grace is Fair at Judgment since both the ones who does not know the Gospel & the one who knows the Gospel but disobeys God’s Commands (e.g. 1 Corinthians 14:37 – 38) —-> will be Judged in ‘fire’ accordingly for ‘their wrong acts’ (2 Thessalonians 1:8, Romans 2:12) —-> which is compared against the Truth taught in the Gospel (Romans 2:16) —-> where also the ‘one who knew the Master’s Will & sinned’ are punished with ‘many lashes’ (more severely, Luke 12:47) vs while the ‘one who did not know’ will be punished with a ‘few flogging’ (less severely, Luke 12:48) as it is Written:

“the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces, and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

“And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes,

but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 12:46 – 48, NASB)

Please notice that we are punished for our sins, not for knowing or not knowing.

So, being rich in this life or having a big church & great outreaching ministry —> can actually be a ‘danger’ if we do ‘not fulfill God’s Will’ —> since more is required of those given more (Luke 12:48), hence this equity in Judgment-demand makes True Equality in Judgment too —> for example, are we preaching the Truth about Christ from our ‘big and widespread’ platforms? Would we escape if we spoke wrong things about Him despite His Great Blessings upon us?

Also, God only measures Rewards based on what is given to us. A Famous example is the widow who gave only 2 coins (Luke 21:2) —-> which may have never been enough to feed one person sufficiently —-> but still Lord Jesus Christ said that she gave more than all the rich who poured into the treasury (whose money may have fed many poor people, implied from Luke 21:1) —-> for the single reason of ‘relative measure’ where ‘giving is based on what is given to us first’ (e.g. percentage of what we own) as Luke 21:3 clearly implies since as Christ explains:

“for they all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on.” (Luke 21:4, NASB)

Thus, having more (money or talents or ministry, people-support etc.) —> only puts us at risk of ‘more demanded out of us’ (Luke 12:48, as even the Parable of the Talents clearly mentions too in Matthew 25:14 – 30) —-> and that’s why Christ remarked that it is ‘hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God’ (Matthew 19:24) due to a ‘greater demand which comes automatically toward those who are given more to fulfill God’s Will whether they know it or not, Luke 12:47 – 48, 2 Thessalonians 1:8, James 5:1 – 6’ —> and when we understand this, we Truly realize that ‘God is Perfectly Fair & that there is NO Partiality NOR any Favouritism with Him’ which He Will Reveal during Judgment (Romans 2:11).

So, Judgment is Greater for the Elected ones if they ‘fall out’ or ‘disobey’ as the quoted verses clearly imply. Hence being elected is not unfair & God in His Foreknowledge only gives election to the ones able to have sufficient strength to choose good & evil fairly (1 Corinthians 10:13) & especially to the mature (Hebrews 5:14) but God doesn’t tempt anyone with evil (James 1:13) where each person falls into his own sin by his own choice first (James 1:14). The details of how God determines this is known only to God but we can infer that such a ‘fairness’ must be in God allowing ‘such choices’ as God must be impartial to all.

The Biblical example of Israel itself proves that despite being elected by Grace, many fell and only a remnant obtained what it ought to but yet, Salvation is promised to All Israel in the afterlife regardless as a Mystery or Secret. Such a flawed argument on a phrase which was never written, right?

‘these Israel’ (context in this verse, Romans 9:6) = refers to the ‘remnant believing Israel’ to whom the ‘word of God’ has NOT failed in the present time as explained in detail in the write up with ‘verses’.

*(No. 3956, “pantes” Israel) or “all Israel” is a different phrase and occurs in this “same” verse in Romans 9:6 proving distinction perfectly.

Let us not remain deceived:

Each time we preach or claim something which is NOT Written in the Original Greek/Hebrew Holy Scripture, we become “deceivers”, whether knowingly or unknowingly, right?
