An Analogy – Physical vs Spiritual
The Physical is a mirror to the true need, which is “spiritual”.
Hence, we “need Christ” & He makes us “live spiritually” beyond “physical death”.
Verses:
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,
and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”
“She said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.”.” (John 11:25 – 27, NASB)
Thus, the emphasis on “His Word” because it is both “Spirit” & “Life” by which we will “live” in the “afterlife”:
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 6:63, NASB)
‘Give a man a bread and he has something to eat for the day; give a man His Word & he obtains something which will remain in him beyond this life’
“work not for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to life age-during, which the Son of Man will give to you, for him did the Father seal — even God.'” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 6:27, YLT)
