Different Glory in the Resurrection of the Dead

Resurrection of the Dead (facts):

(i) One has to die in this earthly body first

“But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come?” You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies;” (1 Corinthians 15:35 – 36)

(ii) What you ‘sow’ in your earthly body (your faith & works in Him) will play a role in determining what kind of “seed” you are (type of seed: grain, wheat or something else) but it does “not” determine the ‘type of your resurrected body’.

“and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else.” (1 Corinthians 15:37)

So, our “sowing” in faith & works (flesh vs spirit) can only affect the ‘seed’ (outer covering – ‘grain, wheat or something else’ as stated) but “not” the ‘resurrected body’ itself which is purely God-determined as point (iii) below reveals.

This point in (ii) above is of utmost importance because contrary to “popular belief” especially within Christianity itself, any ‘man’s role’ in determining ‘what type of resurrected body’ he is endowed with is ‘zero’ but rather at most, he only gets to determine the ‘seed’ only (outer covering, e.g. ‘grain, wheat or something else’).

(iii) What “type of body” (resurrected body) each one gets regardless of the ‘seed’ is determined by “God alone” as “He Wills”:

“and God doth give to it a body according as He willed, and to each of the seeds its proper body.” (1 Corinthians 15:38)

(iv) Though all these “resurrected bodies” are “bodies” but they are “not” the same as the ‘analogy’ in Scripture below reveals:

“All flesh [is] not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another of fishes, and another of birds; and [there are] heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies; but one [is] the glory of the heavenly, and another that of the earthly;” (1 Corinthians 15:39 – 40)

(v) Likewise the different types of these resurrected bodies vary in “glory” too as this ‘analogy’ in the verse below reveals:

“one glory of sun, and another glory of moon, and another glory of stars, for star from star doth differ in glory.” (1 Corinthians 15:41)

(vi) This ‘resurrected body’ cannot be ‘corrupted’ (e.g. fall into sin, or die) again (creation perfected):

“So also [is] the rising again of the dead: it is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption;” (1 Corinthians 15:42)

(vii) This ‘resurrected body’ is a ‘spiritual body’ and “not” a ‘natural body’ ( we may not understand this difference now but when it’s revealed in its time, it will be clear):

“it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body;” (1 Corinthians 15:44)

(viii) We get to be ‘resurrected’ in this ‘body’ (bodily resurrection is true) due to the Awesome Work of Lord Jesus Christ, who is the ‘last Adam, the Life-giving Spirit’ (Thanks be to Him!):

“so also it hath been written, ‘The first man Adam became a living creature,’ the last Adam [is] for a Life-giving Spirit,” (1 Corinthians 15:45)

(ix) Anyone who has born the ‘image of the earthly’ (i.e. all fallen creation too but the emphasis here is ‘all men’ —> this verse is a statement of ’emphasis rather than that of a limitation’ as so greatly erred), —> they ‘will bear the image of the heavenly’ (i.e. resurrected body) “freely” too,

“and, according as we did bear the image of the earthy, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly.” (1 Cornthians 15:49)

(x) When “Death” and “Hades” (Hell) are ’emptied’, “immortality” comes upon the world (all creation is saved since take note that “no” believer gets or needs saving from Death & Hell —> having ‘passed from death into life’ whilst believing on earth itself):

“and when this* corruptible may have put on incorruption, and this mortal may have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the word that hath been written, ‘The Death was swallowed up — to victory; where, O Death, thy sting? where, O Hades (Hell), thy victory?’” (1 Corinthians 15:54 – 55)

(xi) How is it possible?
Thanks to God through Lord Jesus Christ:

“and the sting of the death [is] the sin, and the power of the sin the law; and to God — thanks, to Him who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ;” (1 Corinthians 15:56 – 57)

*Apostle Paul uses ‘himself’ as an analogy here for ‘corruption’ or a ‘mortal’ and that after having put on ‘immortality’ (via the ‘resurrected body’ which God gives freely to ‘believers first’) —> “Death and Hell” lose.

Again, this is “not” a statement of limitation (e.g. only Paul is raised incorruptible) but rather of ’emphasis’ to explain this ‘process of resurrection’ which includes the ’emptying or destruction’ of “Death and Hell” too as this “same” prophecy when viewed from its ‘first form’ as God speaks:

“I will ransom them from the power of the Sheol (Hades, Hell); I will redeem them from Death: O Death, I will be thy plagues; O Hell (Sheol, Hades), I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from Mine Eyes.” (Hosea 13:14)

P/S:

Sheol (in Hebrew) = Hades (in Greek) = Includes Hell (in English) + the realm of the afterlife.

God clearly says that He will “destroy (Sheol, Hades or Hell)” and that He will “not” change His Eyes from performing that ultimate destruction (‘repentance shall be hid from Mine Eyes’).

Yup, “all creation” shall be ‘delivered’ from the ‘corruption’ as the verse below clearly states (which is only possible with a “resurrected body” which God gives, as we see described above) –> becoming “children of God again” (as believers are the ‘first’ to become such but “not” the only ones as so commonly erred too):

“that creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.” (Romans 8:21)
