FULL Truth Declaration – John the Baptist testifies regarding Jesus Christ

“And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.” (John 1:34)

“John answered them saying, “I baptize in water, but among you stands One whom you do not know.

“It is He who comes after me, the thong of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie.”” (John 1:26 – 27)

“John testified saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him.

“I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’” (John 1:32 – 33)

*John the Baptist was the ‘greatest among men by the first birth’ whilst ‘on earth’ (Signified by the phrase, ‘born of women’):

“I say to you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 7:28)

Yes, ‘Context’ as to ‘why’? (John the Baptist was the first among the anointed men to declare this Great Truth about Jesus Christ, earning him ‘the greatest among men born on earth by birth through women’ as Scripture plainly implies):

“The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)

*In the kingdom of the Heavens, even the ‘least’ (who have broken His Commands on ‘earth’, Matthew 5:19***) —-> declare Christ as ‘truly taking away the Sin of the World’ in spirit & truth beyond the ‘flesh/men/human state’ —> thus being ‘greater’ than John the Baptist’s “earthly, human-state” when He declared this ‘same FULL Truth’ which “no” other man uttered ‘before Him’.

**What is the “FULL” Truth?
Declaring Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God to take away “ALL” sin of the Whole World (not believers’ sins only, nor Israel’s sins only or men’s sins only etc.)

*** “Whoever then shall break one of the least of these commandments and shall teach others the same, he will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whoever shall keep and shall teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 5 :19)

An Interesting Observation

Ever wondered why John the Baptist was called the greatest born among women by Lord Jesus Christ? John Declared Who Christ is to the “FULLEST” beginning with “Son of God” to “Him taking away all the sin of the Whole World” earning him this recognition by the Lord Himself.

Note that this recognition is greater than any “works” (being beyond it) because it was through “John’s words toward Christ” that He was “recognised” such as Holy Scripture clearly “testifies”.

John’s work of Baptism was “based” on “believing” that “Christ as taking away the Sin of the Whole World”. Deep Faith given to John Indeed by Christ Who is the Author & Finisher of all Faith rooted in Him.
