Heresy – Queen of Heaven
Heresy – Queen of Heaven
Only God is to be prayed to. We cannot pray to saints, Mary or whoever else except God for help or anything else simply because “no” verse shows this in Holy Scripture.
Traditions of men when quoted with history doing it does “not” prove a theological point if “no” verse exists for it “first”.
Some Christians have even said that we should not pray to Lord Jesus but to the Father only.
Fact is, as explained in at previous post, Christ being made “lower” than the Father (when He let go of His Equality with God the Father, Philippians 2:6 – 8.), He then “prayed” to the “Father” & taught it likewise to “fulfill all righteousness”, leading by “Example” as even the reason for His Baptism proves as well.
Also, the last words of the “first” Christian Martyr clearly proves that he “prayed” to “Lord Jesus” proving further that Lord Jesus Christ Is God as follows:
“They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!” (Acts 7:59, NASB)
Regarding any “Queen of heaven” type of “heresy” (Mary or other types), God’s Principle does “not” change against it simply because it is false and “no” such thing exists:
““As for you, do not pray for this people, and do not lift up cry or prayer for them, and do not intercede with Me; for I do not hear you.
“Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
“The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods in order to spite Me.
“Do they spite Me?” declares the LORD. “Is it not themselves they spite, to their own shame?”
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, My anger and My wrath will be poured out on this place, on man and on beast and on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and not be quenched.” (Jeremiah 7:16 – 20, NASB)

P/S:
How about the verse below?
“And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.” (Revelation 8:4, NASB)
The verse above refers to,
Prayer “of” the saints = prayer done by His Saints and it being offered to “God Alone”.
And NOT,
prayer “to” the saints and the saints offering the prayer to God on their behalf (False, Not written in verse above).
