The Lost Doctrine
These earliest “fathers” (a historical term as no man called them ‘father’ as a doctrinal practice when they were alive) of the church wrote the “same” thing when they meant “kolasis Aionion” (age-during punishment).
When “translated”, false claims that they wrote “everlasting punishment” arose & eventually the original meaning (as meant by our Blessed Lord and passed down especially via the Greek Fathers) was lost due to ‘shallow misunderstanding of those who weren’t the authority in Greek at that time’.
P/S:
This translation error could be the single most widespread one in all of Christianity.
“Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.” – apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 1:10)
