Sharing All

‘A whole new generation of Christians has come up believing that it is possible to ‘accept’ Christ without forsaking the world.’ – AW Tozer

Please take note of the word “all” (the ‘renouncing the world’ verse – meaning):

“So therefore whoever of you who doesn’t renounce all that he has, he cannot be My disciple.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 14:33)

P/S:

One way to do it by “sharing all” instead as the earliest church understood Christ’s Words as such (consider the verses below):

“All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.” (Acts 4:32)

“And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common;” (Acts 2:44)

To the extent of:

“and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.” (Acts 2:45)

Ask yourself, doesn’t “doing” the “Will of God” include obeying His Word?

Aren’t those who are “denied” the same ones who did “not” do His Will as the verses below state?

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of the Heavens, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in the Heavens.

Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’

Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:21 – 23)

P/S:

Lawlessness = Beyond sin, it includes “not” keeping, His Law = His Commands = His Words, right?

Please pay attention that the ones whom Christ denies in the verses above are “not” mentioned as ‘adulteress or murderers etc’ but their deeds listed out was the typical ‘Christian acts in churches’ such as ‘prophesying, driving out demons & performing miracles’. Interesting, isn’t it?

I’m pretty sure our Blessed Lord wasn’t “joking” when He said all these commands and also that in each of the verse below,

All = Everything
