The Beautiful Confession

‘Jesus is Lord’

With regards to ‘how will the world be saved’?

Biblical Facts with “verses” for each:

(i) Believers

It causes salvation for believers:

“that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;” (Romans 10:9)

(ii) All Creation

Any creature ‘Tongue’ (commonly accepted as ‘rational creation’) shall eventually confess too according to this ancient prophecy:

“and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:11)

(iii) Confession unto Allegiance

Anyone confessing ‘Jesus is Lord’ in ‘truth’ is ‘swearing allegiance’ to ‘God’ (as the Old Testament Prophecy regarding it reveals further —> hence such is ‘no’ more an enemy of God):

“I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.” (Isaiah 45:23)

(iv) Judgment Day

Many such confession happens at ‘His Judgment’ ensuring ‘salvation’ eventually:

“For unto this, Christ died and lived again that He might rule over both the dead and living.

But why do you judge your brother, or why also do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

For it has been written:

“I live, says the Lord,
that every knee will bow to Me,
and every tongue will confess to God.”

So then, each of us will give account concerning himself to God.” (Romans 14:9 – 12)

Please consider the verses above regarding ‘Judgment of the living and the dead’ (Romans 14:9 – 10) together with 1 Peter 4:5-6 below too:

“who will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

For to this (end) the Gospel was preached even to the dead, so that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but they might live in the spirit according to God.” (1 Peter 4:5 – 6)

The ‘Salvation’ (‘will be saved’ due to the ‘Beautiful Confession’ that ‘Jesus is Lord’ as it did for ‘believers first’ but ‘without judgment’) is ‘not’ necessarily immediate for ‘those judged’:

—–> as many of ‘the dead’ (verse 5 & verse 6 in 1 Peter above speaks of the ‘same’ dead in ‘any’ context)

—-> these are said to be ‘judged’ first be it in Hell (Gehenna located at Hades) or in the ‘Lake of Fire’ accordingly (especially during the ‘Great White Throne of Judgment, Revelation 20:11 – 15)

—–> but ‘will’ eventually ‘live in the spirit’ (‘be saved’) according to the ‘Will of God’

—> that is, ‘anyone’ who confesses ‘Jesus is Lord’ will (eventually) be ‘saved’

(v) Forced Confession?

Some believers are led in error to argue that the ‘Beautiful Confession’ of ‘Jesus is Lord’ will be ‘forced’ upon some before they are thrown into Hell forever.

The Bible verses quoted above or elsewhere give no hint of that false claim but amazingly, the ‘exact opposite’ is understood when ‘these verses’ are ‘seen together’ giving a more complete picture regarding this Beautiful Confession:

A simple look at the verses above regarding this Confession during ‘their Judgment’ (for ‘enemies of God’) causes

—-> ‘these enemies’ to begin being ‘enemies no more’ since they are told to ‘swear allegiance’ (loyalty) to Him as understood via Isaiah 45:23

—-> ‘these dead’ will ‘Confess it too’ (Romans 14:9 – 12) during their ‘judgment’ (Romans 14:10)

—-> the ‘same’ final result it brings for us (believers) namely, Salvation (‘will be saved’) as Romans 10:9 due to this Confession, it must therefore cause Salvation for anyone Confessing it in truth at any time & place thereafter too!

(vi) Free Will

Many proponents of ‘free will’ who claim to defend the ‘forced confession position’ would argue (without a Verse) that ‘God is a Gentleman and would never force anybody on earth’ to confess that contradicting themselves.

Did you ‘catch’ it?
The fallacy is that they say that God will ‘never force’ anyone to do anything (which is ‘true’) but claim contradictingly that the ‘enemies’ of God must be doing a ‘forced confession’ in verses quoted above.

In other words, if God never forces anyone to declare that ‘Jesus is Lord’ on earth, why would God ‘change’ and ‘force that confession’ in the afterlife? It’s completely absurd and a self contradicting position.

Truth is, the verses speak of this Beautiful Confession according to ‘free will’ in a ‘willing’ (and ‘not’ in an ugly or forced manner) Because it brings ‘Glory to God the Father’! (Philippians 2:11)

A forced confession will ‘never’ bring glory to God the Father.

(vii) In Truth

Scripture further reveals that ‘no’ confession ‘in truth’ is possible by ‘anyone’ to say that ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit.

Since the Beautiful Confession brings ‘glory to God the Father’ (thus it must be a Confession of ‘Jesus is Lord’ in ‘truth’ too) and this is only possible by the Holy Spirit as the verse below clearly states:

“Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:3)

Note that the Holy Spirit of God is only present upon anyone ‘who is beginning to be Saved’ (implying ‘Salvation’ eventually upon the person Confessing it eventually in any context).

(viii) Be Saved

A Beautiful Confession unto Salvation

Since ‘each enemy’ confesses ‘Jesus is Lord’ (willingly, in truth only by the Holy Spirit & in swearing of Allegiance, Isaiah 45:23) as we saw from the quoted “verses implying” this position, ‘their Salvation’ (“be SAVED”, Isaiah 45:22) is Inevitable too as the verses below declare this outworking in greater detail below:

““Declare and set forth your case;
Indeed, let them consult together.
Who has announced this from of old?
Who has long since declared it?
Is it not I, the LORD?
And there is no other God besides Me,
A righteous God and a Savior;
There is none except Me.

“Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.

“I have sworn by Myself,
The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.

“They will say of Me, ‘Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.’
Men will come to Him,
And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.” (Isaiah 45:21 – 24)

Conclusion:

There is ‘no’ fake or forced Confession of ‘Jesus is Lord’ as commonly erred. The Beautiful Confession is unto Salvation (Its Purpose) bringing ‘Glory to God the Father’.

The Blessed Messiah truly declared:

“When I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to Myself.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 12:32)

P/S:

This agrees perfectly with the related verses below & paints a beautiful picture of the God Who died to Save the whole World too (wow!):

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

“And it shall be that everyone who shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.'” (Acts 2:21)

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

“This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

Who will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

Who gave Himself as a ransom for all (not believers only)*, the testimony (become true)* in its own times.

For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” (1 Timothy 2:3 – 7)

*(Emphasis mine)

“It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance.

For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.

Prescribe and teach these things.” (1 Timothy 4:9 – 11)

“and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours (believers)* only, but also for those of the whole world.” (1 John 2:2)

*(Emphasis mine)

God Reveals Beautifully (Declaring Christ’s Acts bringing “Glory to God the Father”):

“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

“He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.

“All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.” (John 16:12 – 15)

Indeed,

“He has made everything beautiful in its time: also he has put the age in men’s hearts, so that no man can find out the work that God does from the beginning to the end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Interestingly, please note the words “everything”, “time”, “age” (ha-ow-lam in Hebrew), “hearts”, “beginning”, “end” & —–> “Beautiful”.

“But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the market places, who call out to the other children,

and say, ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.’” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 11:16 – 17)

Beautiful, isn’t it?
