Does Oxford University Press—or any other Flagship-Elite Publisher—say anything positive about your “Imprint Hermeneutics” so-called “scholarship”?
Briefly, I believe this is probably another honest comment from a person who has “seen it all—level in Theology.” Dr. Steve himself described my little work in these words: [“I have carefully read your materials and although the scholarship is good.”] Wouldn’t you be glad if someone at that level made such a comment about your own work? So, I am not bragging; I am simply “appreciating” those who appreciate me—which is what anyone else would do, right?

Yes, apart from the recent one (name protected for privacy since I didn’t agree with their policy), which nevertheless called this exact same proposal as [“the theological framework you have developed is highly sophisticated”] before ultimately rejecting it due to “no PHD.” I wrote a counter LinkedIn article explaining why I disagree with that reason. My point, however, is not to criticize them personally. Indeed, I find OUP’s response rather understandable when they say, “Theological studies of various Christian traditions is not an area in which the press generally publishes.” I simply hope that, where possible, publishers might remain “too neutral” in publication decisions and be open to exploring work that crosses into other fields, especially when the work itself is non-polemical.
