Money Matters – A Cursed Financial Practice

The Bible teaches in Proverbs 22:16 (Verse in Image) that the two practices below are “Cursed”:

1. i) Oppressing the Poor (e. g. Workers) to make ‘more profit’ or become rich

1. ii) Giving (e. g. Gifts or Bribes) to the ‘rich people’

Common Objection 1

But the poor are not hardworking what, right?

Reply 1

The poor that you exploit who work for you are usually more hardworking than you or your dad.

Can’t you see when you all ‘work together’, it is your poor worker (e. g. a foreign worker) who does most of the work?

So, do you divide ‘the contract profits’ based on ‘work done’?

It’s obvious that you keep most for yourself and pay then little as possible to maximize your profit.

Common Objection 2

It’s legal and we are paying them the market rate.

Reply 2

Your market rate is set by oppressors like you. It’s not endorsed by God (James 5:4). The rate you ought to pay is,

‘What rate would you pay yourself or your own son/daughter if they worked as that foreigner?’

Your own conscience will judge and condemn you on that Great Day when everything in the heart even is Revealed by the Most High.

Common Objection 3

Well, I see many of the rich are living fine with prosperity and health. God is on our side. I don’t need to hear all this and I rather focus on making more money.

You’re greatly mistaken. God is not on your side when you oppress.

Since you ignore the plight of the poor, here’s the Biblical Judgment-part to worry about (you have been warned):

“He who shuts his ear to the cry of the poor Will also cry himself and not be answered.” (Proverbs 21:13, NASB)

How?

In this life, you (the wicked-rich, Psalm 73:4) can have materials and no-disease even, as Psalm 73:4 – 5 mentions but if you don’t repent, ‘your end in the afterlife Judgments’ (Hebrews 9:27) will be TERRIBLE (Psalm 73:17 – 20) as even the ‘RICH Man’ in the “Rich Man & Lazarus Story” illustrates as Spoken by Lord Jesus Christ Himself (Luke 16:19 – 31).

Just like you lyingly claim that the poor are not hardworking, similarly your own Judgment (Matthew 7:2) will be meted to you because you are NOT HARDWORKING in Obeying these QUOTED VERSES either.

If you want to go into the Blessed abodes after you die, let’s obey the Creator of these abodes or if not, make ‘your own abode or ask your prosperity-poor-cursing demigod’ to create it for you upon death.

Prepare to be “surprised” for you didn’t work hard on “His Commandments” especially toward the poor even oppressing them (Galatians 6:7).

You don’t care about Verses?

None in heaven cares about ‘your little weak words’ nor about ‘your perishable wealth too’:

“But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!” (Acts of the Apostles 8:20, NASB)

Please repent before it is too late (Luke 16:19 – 31).

Why should we as Christians (or the ‘Real Church’) SPEAK up AGAINST RICH oppressors instead of silently trying to gain their ‘filthy’ approval?

The Bible Teaches so in Verse below:

“OPEN YOUR MOUTH, judge righteously, And defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.” (Proverbs 31:9, NASB)

Bravo to any Christian who is doing it in any way they can. Peace to you.
