Comeback

Hope in a Comeback

A question bothered me deeply since I fell, which is:

“Will I lose all my reward due to works done in faith previously because of my fall?”

The answer (in principle) is found in Revelation 2:5 below:

“‘Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 2:5)

I believe that the verse above clearly gives hope that the “lampstand not being removed” on the condition such a one “repents” could mean —-> ‘his works of faith and its merits, including even a position of servitude in His Kingdom will remain unaffected’ (lampstand) provided if “he repents”.

🙂

To everyone of the faith who has ‘fallen’, when repenting we often become sad thinking that all the previous works may be nullified.

However, that assumption need not be true in all cases as the verse above gives hope that in Him, it’s possible to retain “one’s lampstand” (church or individual wise) at “its position previously” provided, “The church or individual repents and returns to his first love, Christ to do His works”.

Blessed be the Name of the Lord who gives such a beautiful hope nullifying the devil’s intentions to “rob” us of it after “we fall”.

Hence, the message is clear:

“… Come back, from where you have fallen… ”

To achieve this at the end of this age by His Grace & Mercy:

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 2:7)

But why did I fall or do that evil?

Is there hope after a “repentance” (Comeback)?  Yes:
