Doctrine of Christ

Someone asked me:

“Hi I was wondering if u could help me answer.. Or if u have found : what is the doctrine of Christ? It seems to be important.

2 John 1:9
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.’

My reply:

I would say that the answer is the same as Lord Jesus said, “first command to Love the Lord your God and the second is to Love your neighbor as yourself”, for in these hang the law and the prophets.

The command is thus fulfilled by “Loving God first” and “Loving others second”.

It’s consistent with what apostle John mentioned prior in this same chapter where I believe that he highlighted the “doctrine or teaching of Christ” in “verses 6 and 7”.

Here they are:

“6And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

7I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world…”

(2 John 1:6 – 7)

Essence of practicing verse 6: “his command is that you walk in love.”

And for verse 7, the essence to practice is: “acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh,” is equivalent to believing Christ is God because John 1 states that “The Word (was God) became flesh and dwelt amongst us” (in John 1:1 & John 1:14). Also in the “Great controversial mystery of the Godliness“, we find its key too that “God was manifested in flesh,” (2 Timothy 3:16).

Essentially I see literally that anyone who does not confess Lord Jesus coming in the flesh is equivalent also to those who don’t believe in Jesus being God! (yes, Trinity is True). Denying it is equal to being antichrist (latter part of 2 John 1:7).

A little of topic: When I heard demons, they too tried telling me that Jesus is not God but a “supreme being of some sort and that I too am a god etc…”. See the work of those antichrist spirits (e.g. Demons) who also deny Christ as God? (or try lead us to believe such a lie?) … If I remember correctly, those evil spirits which spoke and tormented me more than 4 years ago could not mention “Jesus Christ has come in the flesh” when I requested them literally to do it… I don’t like telling too much details of my personal experience because people may think I’m lying or just adding etc… Which I’m not. I’m speaking the truth and one day God Will be my witness that I didn’t lie on my personal spiritual “bad” experience.”

Lastly, if Lord Jesus is not God but mere man or a “divine created being” then it would not be a big deal to believe Him as coming in the “flesh”.

The truth differentiates those who believe “God Who came in flesh is Lord Jesus” and those who don’t ( – check out John 1:1 & John 1:14 with 2 Timothy 3:16 to see this literally).
