Go Beyond; Head toward Perfection

To the world: “How I made more money & achieved prosperity for myself and at most, my family”

Toward God: “How much your acts benefited your fellow men usually at the expense of yourself”

Go beyond…

Go beyond helping “yourself”, “your family”, “your relatives”, “your friends”, “your race”, (those who ‘love you’) till… You reach “your enemy” (and achieve the pinnacle of ‘love your enemies’).

As our Blessed Lord remarked this truth:

“If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?…” (Matthew 5:46)

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” (Matthew 5:43 – 44)

Why should you do that?
Because God is like that and to be His sons, we ought to do likewise.

“that you may the sons of your Father in the heavens. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Matthew 5:45)

Again, why?
That’s how He is.

“Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)
