Meeting Reality Beyond Encouragements
We have this “Scariest Truth” in all existence:
“only God Will Judge us all”
Who shall be saved from His Judgment?
“‘Verily, verily, I say to you — He who is hearing my word, and is believing Him who sent me, hath life age-during, and to judgment he doth not come, but hath passed out of the death to the life.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 5:24)
How shall the few be Saved?
We may only be “Saved” by His “Mercy” which He applies to whom “He chooses” as “He Wills (wants, desires)”:
“What then shall we say? Is there injustice with God? Never may it be! For He says to Moses:
“I will show mercy to whom I may show mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I may have compassion.” (Romans 9:14 – 15)
Next, it’s not of your “will” nor “running” either:
“So then, it is not of the willing, nor of the running, but of God showing mercy.” (Romans 9:16)
Conclusion:
“So then, He shows mercy to whom He wants, and He hardens whom He wants.” (Romans 9:18)
Questions? Arguments against God?
“Then you will say to me, “Why then does He still find fault? For who is resisting His purpose?” (Romans 9:19)
The Reply:
“But rather, O man, who are you, answering against God? Shall the thing formed say to the One having formed it, “Why have you made me like this?”
Or does the potter not have authority over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel unto honor, but one unto dishonor?” (Romans 9:20 – 21)
A Reason for this:
“And what if God, desiring to show the wrath and to make known His power, bore with much patience the vessels of wrath, having been fitted for destruction,
that He might also make known the riches of His glory upon the vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory,” (Romans 9:22 – 23)
*Please read the last two verses above carefully which clearly reveals the “reason why” God chooses to “inflict wrath” upon the “vessels prepared for destruction”:
This is because He “bore (endured their sins against His Holy Word)” of those evil ones with much “patience, first”.
