Mercy – His Gift of Salvation

Yes,  His “Mercy” —> “Saves”:

“He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,” (Titus 3:5, NASB)

Also, God gave Gifts to Men – Regardless

“Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.” (Ephesians 4:8, KJV)

For the Rebellious too —-> so that He may dwell among them:

“Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast led captivity captive: Thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.” (Psalm 68:18, KJV)

Or, for the Refractory too —-> so that even they may find “rest”. Deep.

“Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast taken captive captivity, Thou hast taken gifts for men, That even the refractory may rest, O Jah God.” (Psalm 68:18, YLT)

Indeed,  the “end” of the “LORD” (When “His Will” is “Done”) —-> is “Good”:

“Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;” – God (Isaiah 46:10, NASB)

“When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all” (1 Corinthians 15:28, NASB)

Yes,  the “End” of any “thing” (or ‘matter’)  will be —-> “Better than even its Good Beginning” (e. g. Better than even Judas being born,  or his beginning, Matthew 26:24) —> meaning that nothing can, for example, remain in sin or Hell or be against God forever —-> because  ‘Perfection in accordance to His Will’ is clearly implied in verse below for “any thing” in the “End” (truly a deep wisdom here):

“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof:…” (Ecclesiastes 7:8, KJV)

Can we really understand it?

Even to “the dead” (Gospel means ‘Good News’):

“For the Gospel has for this purpose been preached even to those who are dead, that though they are judged in the flesh as men, they may live in the spirit according to the will of God.” (1 Peter 4:6, NASB)

Seen “Post-afterlife Judgment” for some, when “His Mercy triumphs and ends it” eventually:

“For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.” (James 2:13, NASB)

When “His Will” is Fulfilled Triumphantly by Lord Jesus Christ, we will understand that God is “Good” to “all” & we will know His “Mercy” which applies to “all” eventually triumphing over Judgment too as described earlier!

“The LORD is good to all, And His Mercies are over all His works.” (Psalm 145:9, NASB)

“For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show Mercy to all.” (Romans 11:32, NASB)

“For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have Mercy upon all.” (Romans 11:32, KJV)

Please note the word “Mercy” & “all” carefully in verse quoted to understand these accurately.

If it’s not beautiful yet especially in the spirit world —>  God hasn’t finished Working on it for He Will make “everything” or “all things” —-> “Beautiful” eventually  —> “His Will” is Immutable:

“He hath made every thing beautiful in His time: also He hath set the world [age] in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11, KJV)

Yes,  “all things” eventually:

“And He who sits on the Throne said, “Behold, I Am Making All things New.” And He said, “Write, for these Words are Faithful and True.” (Revelation 21:5, NASB)

Conclusion for Men

“Who [God our Savior]  will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4, KJV)

“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 12:32, BSB)

How true is such a Hope?

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:35, NASB)

“For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the Living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.” – apostle Paul (1 Timothy 4:10, NASB)

God’s Gift of Mercy leads to Salvation and It’s for all sin of the Whole World too (John 1:29, 1 John 2:2). Yes, His Mercy causes us to be Saved (Titus 3:5) either with no [afterlife] Judgment as the case is with believers (John 5:24) or via a Mercy which Triumphs over or ends any [afterlife] Judgment Sentence (James 2:13) eventually.

Since His Mercy applies to “All” (Psalm 145:9) —-> (which is all creation, Colossians 1:16 or all who have been in unbelief/disobedience, i.e. all who need His Mercy, Romans 11:32) —-> it is therefore inevitable that “all” to whom His Mercy is applied, will be saved —>  that is, all will be Saved in their own ‘divinely appointed times’ (1 Timothy 2:6), all Gathered in Christ (Ephesians 1:10), all Reconciled (Colossians 1:20), all Restored (Acts 3:21), all made Beautiful (Ecclesiastes 3:11)  & all made New (Revelation 21:5) —> eventually, i.e. in its own “times” (divinely appointed ‘Kairois’-plural times, when His Ransom becomes True or Testified for ‘each of the all’ as it is Written in 1 Timothy 2:6) & these things reaches their ‘fulfillment or completion’ (‘achieved’) in the ‘fullness of the times’ (as mentioned in Ephesians 1:10 too) —-> which may be understood as the ‘Purpose of the Ages’ (Ephesians 3:11, Hebrews 11:3) which God Foreordained to Save the World through His only Son (1 John 4:14, John 4:42).

“by Faith we understand the Ages to have been prepared by a Saying of God, in regard to the things seen not having come out of things appearing;” (Hebrews 11:3, YLT)

“according to a Purpose of the Ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Ephesians 3:11, YLT)

Please note the word “all” or “all things” in each quoted verse above in an accurate translation (such as NASB or KJV or better still, in a ‘literal translation’ such as the YLT translation) to really understand it ‘as it is Written’.

Are we able to understand it?

“Mercy and Truth are met together; Righteousness and Peace have Kissed each other” (Psalm 85:10, KJV)

“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.” – apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 13:12, NASB)

Truly, Lord Jesus Christ is the Blessed Saviour of the World (1 John 4:14).
