Ministry – Servitude – God’s Impartial Judgment

Example of a quote regarding Servitude, to quote (from the internet):

‘In his 14-minute 1961 inaugural speech, which addressed the United States’ role in the Cold War, [John F] Kennedy told Americans to ”ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.”

A Purpose for life should not be ‘what I can get?’ or ‘what benefit I can get from it?’ only —> but rather ‘how can we be of a servitude toward others?’ as the Verse Declares:

“just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 20:28, NASB)

Do we love and serve our family?

If yes, that’s a good start but there is greater servitude if God enables us to “serve beyond our families or those who love us back” in ‘our own ways according to the talents/gifts he gas given to each one of us’ as the Verse goes:

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 6:32, NASB)

Another common fallacy is that ‘those who give more think that there gave more in the eyes of God’ which is NOT necessarily true. Why? How?

How?

Lord Jesus Christ Declared the Truth that a poor widow who gave only ‘two coins’ (which ‘probably’ can’t even be used to buy a meal, i.e. has ‘almost no benefit at all’) has given MORE than ‘much money by great philanthropists at that time even’ as the Verse below Declares in Justice:

“And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury. And He saw a poor widow putting in two small copper coins. And He [Lord Jesus Christ] said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them; ” (Luke 21:1 – 3, NASB)

Why?

For some, they are given more in life and thus are required to do more (Luke 12:48) while others (such as the ‘poor widow above’) are given little. So, one of the aspects of Giving seems to be ‘percentage’ as the Blessed Saviour Explained next during this incident (from this same chapter):

“for they all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 21:4, NASB)

That’s how ‘God is Fair’. For example, if some are given more money, talents or people support in life –> So, when they do a charity work or servitude toward others, they get much support to do much in quantity. However, you may NOT get such support.

So, God being Fair, counts also in Percentage so that each time you give or serve others (it’s based on ‘how much you are giving from what you have in totality’, e.g. ‘how much money based on what you have in total’, in the aforementioned widow’s case or ‘how much of the talent you have you have shared out based on your total talent in you’ – which is the ‘never hide knowledge but share it Principle’).

Thus let us NOT look down say at a beggar since each time he gives it could be ‘20% or 50% or even 100%’ of ‘what he has’ while each time ‘our best philanthropist gives, it could only be say 1% of what he has in totality’.

Indeed, God is Just. So, please keep doing what you are doing (e.g. preaching the Gospel to one person within your reach vs preaching the Gospel to a thousand within your reach). In God’s eyes, the one ‘preaching to only one person’ could be doing ‘more ministry based on this Principle of Fairness’ as the Avenue or Support to ‘reach more’ was NOT available to such.

Only God does this Measure of Giving and He Will Perfectly Reward it back on Judgment Day:

“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure– pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 6:38, NASB)

Conclusion

“God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world–what is viewed as nothing–to bring to nothing what is viewed as something,” – apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 1:28, CSB)

So, ‘no one is at an advantage nor an disadvantage in any situation in life if this Biblical Principal in Fairness is understood correctly as the Verses Beautifully Describe’. Hence, let us be “Wise”:

“Four things are small on the earth,

But they are exceedingly wise:

The ants are not a strong people,

But they prepare their food in the summer;

The shephanim are not mighty people,

Yet they make their houses in the rocks;

The locusts have no king,

Yet all of them go out in ranks;

The lizard you may grasp with the hands,

Yet it is in kings’ palaces.” (Proverbs 30:24 – 28, NASB)

Here’s another Example regarding ‘Ministry’ and ‘Winning Souls’:

The Bible calls one who wins souls (into believing and living the Truth) as ‘wise’ (Proverbs 11:30). However, as Described, it does NOT matter ‘how many souls you converted’ (as even ‘the degree of truth into which one converts matters as well’) since ‘it is as the Days of Noah’ (Matthew 24:37) where even Noah converted at most 7 souls only – excluding himself (1 Peter 3:20), right? But yet, Noah is highly regarded as one of the most righteous man to have ever lived on earth as the Verse below implies Truthfully:

“even though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, by their own righteousness they could only deliver themselves,” declares the Lord GOD.” (Ezekiel 14:14, NASB)

Sometimes, all we need to do is PREACH the TRUTH as Noah was a ‘preacher of righteousness’ and converted at 7 other souls only which is NOT ‘many converts at all’ (2 Peter 2:5).

So, can you see how amazingly Fair and Perfect God’s Judgment actually is as these Verses imply and Declare Majestically in ALL FAIRNESS and EQUALITY?

Truly:

“For God does not show favoritism.” – apostle Paul (Romans 2:11, NIV)

“Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism” (Acts 10:34, NIV)

“Who shows no partiality to princes Nor regards the rich above the poor, For they all are the work of His hands?” (Job 34:19, NASB)

P/S: To whom ‘you give’ matters too:

“And He [Lord Jesus Christ] also went on to say to the one who had invited Him, “When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you in return and that will be your repayment. “But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” (Luke 14:12 – 14, NASB)

Let us remember that God is PERFECTLY Fair. That’s how ‘being rich or having a great number in one’s denomination or ministry does NOT necessarily prove that it’s greater in His Eyes simply because God measures everything based on what you are given and what you do with it together with your heart as well’.

I repeat,

“God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.” (1 Corinthians 1:28, NLT)

“And He [Lord Jesus Christ] said to them, “You are those justifying themselves before men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is exalted among men is an abomination before God.” (Luke 16:15, BLB)

Judgment Day is Coming:

“because He has fixed a Day [Judgment Day] in which He will Judge the world* [oikoumenēn] in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” (Acts 17:31, NASB)

*The word translated as ‘world’ (in Acts 17:31) above is NOT ‘kosmos’ (e.g. in 1 John 2:2 or John 3:16) but “oikoumenēn” (transliterated Greek) which actually means “inhabited part of the land” which also occurs in Verse below:

“And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world [oikoumenēn] should be taxed.” (Luke 2:1, KJV)

Or in a different translation:

“Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth [oikoumenēn].” (Luke 2:1, NASB)

So,

World (in these Verses) is more accurately = [oikoumenēn], transliterated Greek Word = inhabited earth (since only the Visible part which is inhabited is the earth).

World – A Popular Fallacy is to be Noted

Please consider it Described here as follows:

So a popular fallacy of trying to ‘claim that KOSMOS does NOT necessarily mean world’ (say in 1 John 2:2) by quoting the unrelated Greek Word [oikoumenēn, say in Luke 2:1 or Acts 17:31] does NOT hold. Can you see it?

Because these are different words in Greek and by quoting an inaccurate English translation which calls both as World does NOT prove anything.

World is the Space in which All Creation Exists (Romans 1:20, John 1:10) while “oikoumenēn” refers to the ‘inhabited land (or earth)’ (e.g. Luke 2:1, Acts 17:31).

The Greek word in both 2 Peter 2:5 and 2 Peter 3:6 is KOSMOS and the Water (Flood) Destroyed that Part of the KOSMOS (on earth) but God Judged even the ‘fallen angels or sons of God’ (Genesis 6:2) too as part of the KOSMOS during this time as 2 Peter 2:4 clearly implies as well.

So quoting 2 Peter 2:5 and 2 Peter 3:6 does NOT prove that KOSMOS = earth (contradicting 2 Peter 2:4) as the ‘place of habitation of these fallen angels’ being referred to in these Verses was NOT earth ‘only’ but inclusive of the ‘heavens too’ (as implied in Jude 1:6 and Ephesians 6:12 as well).

In other words, KOSMOS includes the earth but is NEVER equal to the earth since KOSMOS (or WORLD-in English) includes both the heavens and the earth as the space in which ALL Creation Dwells as the ‘One Definition’ in Scripture in Romans 1:20 clearly means ‘as it is Written’.

Let us NOT be deceived otherwise.

‘A gospel that favours the rich is no Gospel at all and a Gospel which puts both the rich and poor at the same level of equal judgment is Biblical’ – Unknown

“The rich and the poor have a common bond, The LORD is the maker of them all.” (Proverbs 22:2, NASB)

Please be careful especially of this Practice of ‘favouring the rich in ministry whilst despising the poor’ as it is a popular ‘religious error’ among men (let us strive to avoid it):

“My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. For if a man comes into your assembly with a gold ring and dressed in fine clothes, and there also comes in a poor man in dirty clothes, and you pay special attention to the one who is wearing the fine clothes, and say, “You sit here in a good place,” and you say to the poor man, “You stand over there, or sit down by my footstool,” have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil motives?” – apostle James (James 2:1 – 4, NASB)

“He who oppresses the poor to make more for himself Or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.” (Proverbs 22:16, NASB)

A Biblical Warning (which proves that ‘given more or being rich does NOT prove any advantage at all’):

“Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.” – apostle James (James 5:3, KJV)
