Say “No”

Love of this World (worldly passions and its “various lusts” – it is not freedom to live in lust but rather, you’re a slave to those sinful lusts which you commit).

Firstly, what does the “Grace of God” teach us?

“It (Grace of God) teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,” (Titus 2:12)

A Command and an irrefutable fact in the verse below will “prove” how much one “Loves God” versus “loving the world (worldly sinful lusts & indulgences) instead”?

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for (of) the Father is not in them.” (1 John 2:15)

Note that the above is also a “do not” command which is greatly ignored when compared to other “do not” commands such as “do not murder”.

Also, if you do otherwise, the verse above also reveals that such persons do “not” have the love “for” (of) the “Father (God)”. So, there is “no” middle ground as the Bible is very distinct on this issue as the verse above clarifies that for those in contrary, the “love for (of) the Father is “not” in them”.

Why?

“For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.” (1 John 2:16)

We cannot love both “lust” and “God” at the same time (those who claim otherwise are “liars” by the implication of these verses) simply because the “lusts of the flesh” does “not” come from God (the Father) but rather from the “world” (temporal perversion of things authored by the god of this age, Satan (the Adversary) according to the dominion give to him till the ‘end’ of this age only).

The worldly “lusts” (cravings or desires) are “passing away” (eventually cease to exist) by the ‘end’ of this age:

“The world is passing away with its lusts (cravings, desires), but he who does God’s will remains to the age.” (1 John 2:17)

So, how to do “God’s Will”?

Note the key point in this verse (above) which highlights that the “doing of God’s Will” (verse 17) involves directly “not loving ‘anything’ in this world nor fulfilling its lusts, desires or cravings” (verses 15 & 16).

We note this fact that “only” those who “do God’s Will” (or the Father’s Will) will make into (i.e. inherit) the “Kingdom (or) reign of God” which begins from “the next age” into the “coming ages” while the rest of disobedient mankind will be “denied” (sent for needful corrections in “fire & darkness”, the “age-during punishment” for betterment eventually, after a “long time”).

Here are the verses which prove this last statement (in the paragraph above) literally:

“‘Not everyone who is saying to me Lord, lord, shall come into the reign (kingdom) of the heavens; but he who is doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:21)

“Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom (reign) of God.” – apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 6:9 – 10)

In light of all these things, working out one’s “salvation” is a matter involving “fear & trembling”:

“Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed–not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence–continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,” – apostle Paul (Philippians 2:12)

Hence, persevere on the “narrow path” of “Faith” which only a “few” will find in this life itself:

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:13 – 14)

P/S:

Will you make it into the Great coming “Kingdom (or Reign) of God (of the Heavens)”?

Examine yourselves in the ‘exam of this life’:

“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test?” (2 Corinthians 13:5)

Finally, remember that punishment is for those who do sin and do not obey God Himself and thus “knowing or not knowing” the true God and His Gospel will “not” excuse anyone from the “punishments in fire”:

“in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.” – apostle Paul (2 Thessalonians 1:8)

Is it unfair? No!
Simply because whether “knowing or not knowing”, sin is still sin and merits punishment accordingly (the ‘fair’ part is that the ‘severity’ of the punishments vary according to the ‘severity’ of the sins). That’s all.

A promise to those who believe in Him:

“and any curse there shall not be any more, and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him, and they shall see His face, and His name [is] upon their foreheads, and night shall not be there, and they have no need of a lamp and light of a sun, because the Lord God doth give them light, and they shall reign — to the ages of the ages.” (Revelation 22:3 – 5)

Be prepared.

Only those who “do God’s Will” will “escape” the coming “Last Wrath of God” upon all evildoers in the World.

Now, note a key thing:
You’re only able to “do God’s Will” if you “know Him” (connected spiritually to Him by His Holy Spirit) Who only resides with those “who believe” (as was promised).
