Election – Sons of the Devil

Sons of the Devil

Claim

God only Loves & Saves His Elect and the ‘enemies of the Gospel’ (e.g. the sons of the devil) are never the elect and thus will never be saved.

Which is a false teaching? please reconsider with verses which actually discuss this aspect in detail. Here’s a start:

“According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:

Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.” (Romans 11:8 – 10, KJV)

Is there no more hope for these “enemies of the Gospel”?

“I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. ” (Romans 11:11, KJV)

Is that the end? No:

“As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.” (Romans 11:28, KJV)

Please note carefully in verse above that the “enemies of the Gospel” (with the ‘Jews or ones from Israel’ being the focus here) are the “same” ones also mentioned to be “elected” by “Love (being beloved)” for the sake of the “fathers” to which as the next verse below describes this fact as “irrevocable” too (thus, there is ‘no’ eternal ‘sons of the Devil’, who are ‘part of the enemies of the Gospel’, context established, e.g. John 8:44, Ephesians 2:2, Matthew 23:33, Matthew 12:34):

“for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29, KJV)

Yes, based on this, ‘all enemies of the Gospel’ in Israel too will be saved as part of ‘All Israel’:

“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:” (Romans 11:25 – 26, KJV)

Please note that it is NOT written that ‘believing Israel or the non-hardened Israel only’ Will be Saved in verse above but “ALL Israel” eventually, post Judgment too.

Can you see it?

To ignore this fact that “ALL Israel will be saved’ (Romans 11:26) is said to be an attitude of ‘pride’ where one is ‘conceited in one’s own opinion’ as mentioned in Romans 11:25 itself.

Also, this passage is NOT discussing about a ‘nationalistic war’ or ‘an end time war for Israel’ as commonly erred in popular exegesis too (“not” the topic here at all, please read the verses surrounding it to ‘realize this fact’).

In fact, All Israel will be “Saved” from “their sins” is “Written” proving the Context of Salvation in Christ Jesus as the Deliverer (or Redeemer) from Sion (Zion) to be True [Romans 11:26] in the next “consecutive” verse below too (Context):

“For this is My covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.” (Romans 11:27, KJV)

Are we able to understand what is so plainly written in Holy Scripture?

Indeed, God doesn’t change and Will Have ALL Men to be Saved too (beyond ‘Israel only’ likewise) & all will come to the Knowledge of the Truth, well beyond this life too ‘as it is written’:

“Who (God our Saviour) will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4, KJV)
