Understand Everything?

Do We Need to Understand All Things Regarding the Blessed Lord?

A common excuse resounds:
“I don’t think God wants us to understand all things about Him” (opinion, “no” verse says this).

What does Scripture actually say (with a Verse)?

Fact:
“God wants us to ‘understand’ all things pertaining to Him” based on or with respect to what is revealed in His Holy Word as the verse below implies:

“Evil men understand not judgment, And those seeking Jehovah understand all.” (Proverbs 28:5)

*Special emphasis: Those who seek the ‘LORD’ (Jehovah) certainly ‘understand His Judgment’ as the verse above ‘points to this sign’.

**Interestingly, the verse above (and in picture) also points to the ‘fact’ that being in a ‘state’ of ‘not understanding’ (“nor” being able to understand) His “Judgment” (possibly when told/revealed too) is a sign that such a person is ‘evil’.

Please don’t be deceived otherwise.

P/S:

Please take note that:

“Understanding all things” is based on “What all things” which God has ‘revealed’ based on His “Holy Scripture” (this we must ‘understand “all” of it’).

That is, we are “not” obligated to understand ‘knowledge outside of His Scripture’ which is ‘not’ necessary for all of us to ‘understand’. That is, we “cannot” be required to ‘understand’ something that “God didn’t reveal directly” (e.g. our earthly academic knowledge).

In other words, we are only “required” to “understand” the “all things” which “God revealed directly”, namely “His Holy Scripture only”. For His Word (or quoted verse) cannot be pointing to ‘worldly context’ unless explicitly told otherwise (which is “not” the case here).

The key is this: “Understanding” is based on ‘what is revealed’ (“all things” in His Holy Scripture; that’s why ‘Scripture’ is given or ‘revealed’: for us to ‘understand’ It).

Yes, something about God if it is “not” revealed in Scripture (i.e. “no” verse implying it), we need “not” understand it. Only what’s in His ‘Revealed’ Word is required to be “understood”.
