Who Does Not?

(i) “hear”

“He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 8:47)

(ii) “believe”

“But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:26)

(iii) “know”

“And, Jesus answering said to them, “You err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 22:29)

(iv) “understand”

“Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to hear My word.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 8:43)

(v) have that “kind of spirit”

“When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?”

but He (Lord Jesus Christ) turned and rebuked them, [and said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are of;

for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”] And they went on to another village.” (Luke 9:54 – 56)

(vi) “receive”

“the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and He will be in you.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:17)

(vii) “accept”

“But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to understand them, because spiritually they are discerned.” – apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 2:14)

(viii) “accept Our Testimony”

“Very truly I tell you, We speak of what We know, and We testify to what We have seen, but still you people do not accept Our Testimony.

I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

No one has ever gone into heaven except the One who came from heaven—the Son of Man.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:11 – 13)

(ix) “not listen”

“And if your brother sins against you, go reprove him, between you and him alone. If he will listen to you, you have gained your brother.

But if he will not listen, take with you one or two more, that ‘every word may be strengthened upon the testimony of two or three witnesses.’

And if he fails to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he fails to listen to even to the church, let him be to you as the pagan and the tax collector.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 18:15 – 17)

(x) “have…sin”

“If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8)

(xi) “lie”

“upon hope of life age-during, which God, who doth not lie, did promise before times of ages,” (Titus 1:2)
