Worldly Success

There are two types of worldly success:

(1) Financial success or ‘money based success’.

Life in the “coming age” benefits —> according to “how much” you “give away” (percentage & intent wise, i.e. relatively), you’ll reap your reward accordingly if done in Him.

“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure– pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 6:38)

Warning —> “Hoarding” riches (‘silver & gold’ or “money”) is ‘not’ wise but a sign of selfishness and it’ll “eat your flesh like fire” as that Great Day approaches nigh.

“Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.” – apostle James (James 5:3)

(2) Non – financial or “no money based reward” type success.

Life in the “coming age” benefits —> As before, if it accounts for the “benefit of others” (selflessness) such “sacrifices (selfless acts) are pleasing to God”.

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” (Hebrews 13:16)

Warning —> If one gets puffed up in “pride” especially in “making oneself as a god”, God hates it.

“Therefore, the proud may not stand in Your presence, for You (God) hate all who do evil.” – king David (Psalm 5:5)

P/S:

Remember, God judges each one fairly. He judges “relatively”:

(i) According to what you’ve been given (expecting more if more is given and vice versa)

“But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 12:48)

(ii) Also, you will be judged based on the ‘judgment standards’ which you impose on ‘others’

“For in the same way you judge* others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:2)

Yes, you will “reap” (reward, punishment) according to what deeds you did “sow” (good, evil) especially in the “coming age” (‘not’ necessarily in this life itself):

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” – apostle Paul (Galatians 6:7)

“And these (wicked) shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 25:46)

*Note: Lastly, take note that these ‘same’ Perfect Principles from the Bible applies to both “reward” and “punishment” during “judgment”.

Who is the “Judge”?
Lord Jesus Christ.

“but they will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.” – apostle Peter (1 Peter 4:5)

“I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:” – apostle Paul (2 Timothy 4:1)

“Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son (Jesus)” (John 5:22)
