A Correct Perspective makes the Difference

God is not on anybody’s side (absolute perspective; pride teaches otherwise).

Remember, God is the Focus when we speak about sides because He alone is Perfect. A mere creation (you and I) thus cannot define sides due to our imperfections which make it unfair, biased, unholy, prejudiced, bigoted etc when we are “defining sides”.

But rather,

You get God’s support if you’re (at least striving to) be on His Side (relative perspective).

So, at least try your best to be on God’s Side by following His Will via obeying Him.

P/S:

This Principle may be inferred from this classic passage in the Bible to whom (Joshua), the LORD told, “I’m with you” but it’s only if (condition) ‘Joshua remains on God’s side’:

“Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”

“Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?”

The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.” (Joshua 5:13 – 15)

That is, if Joshua doesn’t get to hear “I’m on your side” by a “commander of the army of the Lord”, none of us will surely “not” get that from God Himself.

Don’t be deceived by pride thinking otherwise.
