Age during Law – Purpose

Every Judgment

Regarding man —> is to the “age” only.

This is clearly seen when translated literally or accurately as it is Written in verse below:

“The sum of Thy word is truth, And to the age is every judgment of Thy righteousness!” (Psalm 119:160, YLT)

Please notice that “Truth” consists of the “sum or total” of “His Words”.  Deep.

Thus,  we cannot argue a point without considering other verses which speak of the same point or topic in concern.

For example: It is common for some Messianic Jews to quote the Old Testament verse of say pork-eating-prohibition  —-> and add the fact that Lord Jesus Christ did not eat pork —-> and then try to impose it on “Gentile believers” to do the same.

Such arguments ignore other verses especially New Testament verses which take precedence as the Law came through Moses but Grace & Truth through Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:17).

Similarly for the tithing Law or circumcision or the Sabbath  (where both tithing & circumcision pre-dates Moses’ Law) but is enforced through the Levitical priesthood which has ended and best is, these do “not” apply to “Gentile believers” at all (example Acts 21:25).

Jewish believers may keep these Laws as New Testament verses such as Acts 21:24 allow it.

Yes, other parts of the 10 Commandments certainly apply to both Jewish & Gentile believers alike as New Testament verses point to be kept to this age as well.

That’s a meaning of His Truth is to the “age” due to His Covenant from age to age according to a His “Purpose of the ages” too, example verses for this fact:

“For mighty to us hath been His kindness, And the truth of Jehovah is to the age. Praise ye Jah!” (Psalm 117:2, YLT)

“according to a purpose of the ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord,” (Ephesians 3:11, YLT)

P/S:

If their popular argument that God’s Law is eternal is true, —> then we cannot eat pork and must certainly  be circumcised —>and even the Levitical priesthood must be forever —-> which contradicts the New Testament verses as mentioned in the write up too.

Example: the Levitical priesthood is not forever but to the previous age only and has ended being replaced by the Melchizedek Priesthood (Numbers 25:13, Exodus 40:15 compared against Hebrews 7:11 – 12, Hebrews 7:23,  Hebrews 8:13).

We need to ask ourselves, can something “eternal” (if eternal) such as God’s Law from the Old Testament/Covenant —> eventually “disappear” —-> as clearly mentioned in verse below?

“When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear.” (Hebrews 8:13, NASB)

Can we see it?

Only God alone is eternal (“immortal”, 1 Timothy 6:16). His Laws are to the “age” according to His Purpose. We must not be confused between these two Biblical facts as it is Written in verses which are only seen clearly when accurately translated.

Please also note a common myth in some Christian circles —> namely that ‘Satan is the best theologian’ or that ‘the antichrist will have all the answers to the Bible’ or equivalent. These are certainly ‘not’ true simply because “no” verse says this. If someone says otherwise, please ask them a verse for it and let us not be so gullible and easily deceived by mere ’empty human claims’.

In fact, the contrary is true. The antichrist will deceive with ‘signs and wonders’ (sadly some Christians are always going after this instead of going after His Word & Doctrine as it is Written especially in New Testament verses, can we see it?):

“Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. ” – apostle Paul (2 Thessalonians 2:8 – 10, NASB)

“For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:24, NASB)

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” – apostle Paul (2 Corinthians 11:13 – 15, KJV)

The ‘ones who are servants of Christ’ (e.g. apostle Paul) will be able to ‘answer with Scripture’ —> in such a way that their opponents will not be able to “resist” (for example:because the Universal Reconciliation Hope for all men to be Saved includes them as well, e.g. 1 Timothy 2:4 & 1 Timothy 4:10, hence they ‘can’t resist’ such a Great Hope which includes them as well) —-> and their opponents will also not be able to “contradict” (e.g. the claim that the ‘next age is not eternal’ as mentioned literally in Matthew 25:46 and is proven irrefutably by the fact that there are at least ‘two ages to come’ as it is Written in Ephesians 2:7 —> implying clearly that there are at least “two” ages which are coming –> implying that the “next age” for “age-during life” clearly ends) —> any claim otherwise is a “contradiction”.

Where is the verse which says that the ‘true servants of Christ’ will have such a ‘mouth of wisdom’ which their opponents cannot “resist” nor “contradict”?

It’s literally mentioned by our Blessed Saviour Himself as follows:

“For I will give you speech and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.” – Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 21:15, BSB)

We should question ourselves if we find ourselves in a place of —> ‘not being able to answer all things which are revealed in Scripture without a contradiction’  —-> as the verses clearly imply this ‘real Biblical Characteristic of a true believer’ (grounded in “His Word as it is Written”) instead of following after ‘signs and wonders’:

“Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.” (Proverbs 28:5, KJV)

Biblical faith check: Which describes us?

Let each man answer for himself and the Lord be the judge.
