Age of the Ages – A Mystery of Highlighted Time Periods in Scripture for His Divine Purposes

(i) An Old Testament verse:

“But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.” (Daniel 7:18, KJV)

More accurately,

“and receive the kingdom do the saints of the Most High, and they strengthen the kingdom unto the age, even unto the age of the ages.” (Daniel 7:18, YLT)

(ii) A New Testament verse

“that ye may be in strength to comprehend, with all the saints, what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,

to know also the Love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that ye may be filled — to all the fulness of God;

and to Him who is able above all things to do exceeding abundantly what we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,

to Him [is] the glory in the assembly in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age of the ages. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:18 – 21, YLT)

Where,

“age” (subset – a particular time period is highlighted – for His Purposes)

Out of the overall time periods of the “Ages” (Universal Set).

Can we see it?

Please note the “age of the Ages” phrase in Ephesians 3:21 above and Daniel 7:18 too which may explain that in that “age” (time period – highlighted) out of the “total Ages” in God’s Plan of the Ages (Hebrews 11:3 in the [“administration (dispensation, plan) of fullness of times” too to Gather “all things” (or All Created things, Definition in Colossians 1:16 in the Context of Reconciling All Things in Colossians 1:20 through Christ Ephesians 1:9 – 10 as well] —> thus, we see the “exceeding” —> “Love of Christ” —> “abundantly” —-> even “exceeding the knowledge” —-> as the surrounding verses speak (Context).

Yes, please note each claimed “phrase” or “word” found in verses quoted.

“by faith we understand the ages to have been prepared by a saying of God, in regard to the things seen not having come out of things appearing;” (Hebrews 11:3, YLT)

“He made known to us the Mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him

with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him” (Ephesians 1:9 – 10, NASB)

“because in Him were created all things in the heavens and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or lordships or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and unto Him.

because all the fullness was pleased to dwell in Him,

and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace by the blood of His cross through Him, whether the things on the earth or the things in the heavens.” (Colossians 1:16, 19, 20, BLB)

Are we able to understand this “Secret” or “Mystery of His Will” (Ephesians 1:9)?

If so, then:

“Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” (1 Corinthians 4:1, NASB)
