All His Word

Yes, all (‘not’ some or parts) of His Word too according to the Covenant given to us (parts mentioned in Scripture which pertains to us as it is without adding nor removing anything).

Let’s ‘fix our thoughts’ on these as the verse in picture exhorts.

Found in “His Word” (all of it) if possible, “meditating upon it day & night” (not emptying the mind type of mediation but rather with His Word)

“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.” (Psalm 1:1 – 2)

P/S: (Distinction between Jewish & Gentile believers exist with respect to the ‘keeping of Law of Moses’ part)

An example of ‘which part of law’ that is to be ‘observed’ by the “Jewish believers” vs “Gentile believers” is ‘so clearly stated as it is in Scripture’:

(i) Jews only part

[please notice the word “Jews” in verse below thus ‘only referring to them’]

This observance of ‘all law’ is for “Jewish believers” only under the New Covenant

“And when they heard it they began glorifying God; and they said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Law;

and they have been told about you, that you are teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children nor to walk according to the customs.

“What, then, is to be done? They will certainly hear that you have come.

“Therefore do this that we tell you. We have four men who are under a vow;

take them and purify yourself along with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads; and all will know that there is nothing to the things which they have been told about you, but that you yourself also walk orderly, keeping the Law.” (Acts 21:20 – 24)

(ii) Gentiles only part

[please notice the words “Gentile” and “Believed” in verse below thus ‘only referring to them’]

“But concerning the Gentiles who have believed, we wrote, having decided that they should abstain from meat sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from fornication.” (Acts 21:25)

*using ‘subsequent verses only’ (context ‘as it is’)

Other parts of the New Testament reveals further observations for increase in obedience for “Gentile believers” too (e.g. 1 Corinthians 11, 1 Corinthians 14, etc.)

“If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I write to you are the Lord’s commandment.” – apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 14:37)

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” – Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:15)

Beware (of talks with ‘no’ verses):

“For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,” – apostle Paul (Titus 1:10)
