Another Jesus?

We need to check with the Word of God as apostle Paul himself declares:

“But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.” (2 Corinthians 11:3 – 4, NASB)

The curse is “anathema”:

“But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!” (Galatians 1:8, NASB)

I rather stick to “apostle Paul’s preaching & doctrines” in the New Testament.

Ministry and good works will “not” save anyone (Matthew 7:20 – 21, Titus 3:5, Romans 3:20).

Are we preaching another Jesus? We have to check against apostle Paul’s writings as he is the one who is inspired to write this question itself warning against those who preach another Jesus than what he preached. We may check with other verses too.

Shine as Stars

Two related verses:

“And those teaching do shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars to the age and for ever (permanently).” (Daniel 12:3, YLT)

“so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,” (Philippians 2:15, NASB)
