Archangels

Ancient Judeo-Christian or Kabbalistic-Judaism writings reveal this (though NOT necessarily from the Bible):

The archangels (the princes) are NOT to be worshipped (e.g. Michael, Raphael, Gabriel) and their names* explain different attributes of God such as:

(i) Michael (‘who is as God?’)

(ii) Raphael (‘God Heals’)

(iii) Gabriel (‘God is my strength’)

(iv) Uriel (‘God is Light’)

We CANNOT pray to them but they are our ‘brothers’ in Christ as they serve the Lord God and worship Him alone (so it is with other angels too):

“I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow brethren the prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!” (Revelation 22:8 – 9)

Even apostle Paul warned NOT to indulge in the ‘worship of angels’ as some even did so at that time:

“Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,” (Colossians 2:18)

P/S:

Those Christians who ‘worship angels’ may ‘lose’ their prize as apostle Paul warned above.

Don’t be deceived.

*We can’t be sure of the existence and name of some of the archangels (or princes) since many references are found outside the Bible only. Gabriel & Michael are definitely mentioned in the Bible.

Lastly (but not least), all God’s angels worship Lord Jesus Christ, their Creator:

“And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says, “Let all God’s angels worship Him (Jesus).” (Hebrews 1:6)
