Why can’t I believe?

The No.1 reason why a person cannot believe that Lord Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the World is because of “self”.

Self?

Yes. Because it involves the denial of “self” to be able to accept a God Who Loves all (truly & literally) because the “nature of self” in us justifies wicked thoughts arising from jealousy to just vain glory disabling one from coming into the Light of God.

For example, many don’t want people from other races or different religious beliefs to “ever” return home to heaven (their ‘true’ hate in “self”). They can’t repent of this racism and prejudice behaviour since they ‘love it’.

Another example is that God Saving All in the “end” takes away “vain glory” from us (literally) because:

  1. God can Save them with and without us; being used by God comes as an honour and privilege not as “God’s method is man” (false teaching) which amounts to a man’s earthly action (say in preaching the gospel) giving pride in him thinking that without him answering a “call” God can “never” save those lost souls in the first place (a key reason why many cannot repent from the eternal hell theology and believe in Lord Jesus as Saviour of the World instead – i.e. They want to glorify themselves).
  2. We are not God but mere creation. The pride in other false teachings of men literally revolves around some form of Theosis, i.e. “I am a god too” or “I’ll be one with god too” which are all “not” True. Some extend these perverted teachings to even make their sinful fathers & mothers also as “a god” and worship them too in addition to the “Theosis” which they hold on to.

It’s all “dirty” and does not imply the Truth Literally that God is One (distinct from all creation itself).

Now you know why they can’t believe being puffed up in pride as the Devil who injected this venom into them as he did in Genesis, “you will be like gods.. ” (All literally true).

P/S:

Truth gives glory to God alone (literally) while half-truths & lies gives glory “also” to oneself, another, a friend, a mother or father, a wife or husband, a son or a daughter or even a mixture of these.

Truth is One even in giving Glory to God (literally) with no “additions” to “any man or creation” whatsoever.

With this in mind, we see how great we all “fall short” of “His Glory” (again – literally too).

This has to be one of the greatest Truth about God “alone”:

“God loves us more than a father, mother, friend, or any one else could love, and even more than we are able to love ourselves.”  + St. John Chrysostom +
