Classic Epicurean Error

“How come God allows evil, poverty, disaster etc.?”

It’s simple really:

“Did God ask you to continue to give birth & live in poverty?” No, we human make babies (our decision) & then when we face poverty or can’t take care, we blame God. It’s only God’s fault if He threw babies from heaven into a misery & poverty stricken world. He didn’t and the choice of making kids or the cause of poverty itself is a “human system”.

Apart from that, when natural calamities or poverty or any other disaster happens, we should ask this question ‘first’:

“which God or godlessness did these people serve & worship?”

Meaning: If you served ‘your own gods’ or even ‘your own godlessness’ (atheism), you cannot blame “God” Himself because ‘you are reaping the Acts of your own gods/godlessness destroying you’.

Logically, one may only blame God if “all” the people in a town/country obey God’s Laws and yet He sends disasters or poverty. This has “never” been the case.

God doesn’t change. As He said to Abraham (in principle) that even “if 10 righteous person live in a city, I will spare it (from doom).”

God doesn’t need to defend His enemies any more than His enemies have defended Him (in speech/word even at least).

The logic behind all these?
We only reap what we sow collectively even as a human being (as the wrong action of others causes doom for even more relatively better people amongst us). We will all be held responsible accordingly on that ”Great Day” at the “End of this age”.

So, may God have Mercy even to this typical shallow, classic Epicurean error.

As it is written:

“Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they did not repent of their deeds.” (Revelation 16:10 – 11)

“The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts.” (Revelation 9:20 – 21)
